He has been replaced by Len Villani, who was talent manager at Eastern Rangers in the TAC Cup.

The Northern Blues can confirm the re-signings of Glenn Strachan, Chris McCabe, Fraser Pearce and Deven Costigan.

The quartet have been rewarded for strong 2017 campaigns and impressive starts to their pre-seasons with confirmation that they’ll be Blues once more this year.

This is a little bit late again this year, but Northern had a practice match yesterday.

Here's roughly how they lined up (squad is correct and positions are based on highlights and commentary, happy to have someone correct them:

FB: O'Shea JGM Schumacher
HB: Penrith Macreadie McDaid
C: Shaw Polson Federico
HF: Johnston TDK S.Fisher
FF: Williams Kerr LeBois

R: Lobbe Kerridge Graham

Int: Blakey, McCabe, Harman, Strachan, Pearce, Velisarris, Caluzzi






Pretty decent performance for a team that had 18 U22 players. Johnston and Federico seem to have played with a bit of fire after going undrafted last year.

McDaid cut through traffic very nicely in that clip, really quick and love the Irish bounces.
Penrith is also damn quick.

Hopefully these younger guys can quicken up our ball movement at VFL level too.

Thirteen Carlton-listed players featured in the draw, including De Koning, Schumacher, Graham, O'Shea, Cameron Polson, Matt Shaw, Sam Kerridge, Harrison Macreadie, Pat Kerr, Matthew Lobbe, Cillian McDaid, Jesse Glass-McCasker and Kym Lebois.

Unfort reports quiet on Polson along with Kerr and JGM with limited impact it seems.
