Odd comparison. As you said, Abbey was lucky to even be picked up, so your comparing a Marquee player to the equivalent of a rookie.

If anything, I’d say that Abbey has also been overexposed, particularly when comparing to her standing in the game. VFL commentary, Women’s Footy Show, her own travel TV show(!).

Not many others picked in the 90s-100s are getting the exposure Abbey is getting, yet there are plenty in that range doing a lot more on the field than she is.

In relation to the Hope comparison, Abbey is 3 goals from 10 AFLW games. Mo is 9 goals from 9 AFLW games, in a much worse, and low scoring side...
