I fully expect the Giants to take him at 2.
Think interior lineman is more of a pressing need for the Giants was a why Manning wasn't as efficient as years passed he never had time to set and throw and see them taking Quenton Nelson at 2

Much easier to get an interior linesman in round 2. Barkley is the best player in the draft in a position the Giants need desperately.

Nelson isn't far off being the best player in the draft as well and as good as Barkley is without holes to run through he will find it might hard to be effective

The Browns should take Barkley TBH. Then they can take the QB they want @4.

NBC Sports Chicago's John Mullin reports the Bears and Dolphins "have had conversations" about a trade involving Jordan Howard and Jarvis Landry.

According to Mullin, the discussed deal would send Howard and the No. 8 pick to Miami in exchange for Landry, the No. 11 pick, and a third-round selection. Howard has been the engine of the offense since the Bears selected him in the fifth round of the 2016 draft, gaining 2,858 yards from scrimmage in two seasons. Mullin reports new coach Matt Nagy has concerns about Howard's fit in his offense, however, specifically in the passing game. Pro Football Focus has charted Howard with 14 drops in just two seasons.

Apparently a bullshit rumour who's source was a guy in the kitchen at the Phins facility to "overheard" a conversation

Looks like Josh Allen has done a JaMarcus Russell at the combine and has made a lot of people fall in love with his arm and forget about how he can't make simple throws.
The kid is going to have some club take him early to middle of the first round only to burn them.

Can throw

But can't hit a target

Going by this draft comparison looks like Barkley has been playing out of position. He should be an Outside Backer:p

ESPN's Jenna Laine reports the Buccaneers and Browns both tried to trade for former Rams DE Robert Quinn.

The Bucs reportedly offered a fourth-round pick and the Browns a fifth, but the Dolphins acquired him for a fourth-round pick and an exchange of sixth-round picks. With the number of draft picks the Browns have, it's fairly surprising they weren't able to work out a deal for a player that could help improve their pass-rush.

ESPN's Vaughn McClure reports the Falcons are "one of multiple teams" discussing a trade for Seahawks DE Michael Bennett.

Rumours about Bennett being traded have been starting to gain steam as of late. McClure didn't seem overly confident yet in the Falcons chances of striking a deal saying "nothing is imminent." The Falcons could be a good fit for Bennett who played under Dan Quinn in Seattle from 2013-to-2014.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Vikings, Broncos, Jets, and Cardinals are the final four teams "vying" for free agent Kirk Cousins.

This would mean neither the Browns or Bills will go after Cousins. With other reports saying Cousins wants to play for a contender, this could also possibly take the Jets and Cardinals out of contention. The Vikings are probably Cousins' most likely option if his desire to play for a contender is truly the driving force behind where he signs.

What is "a contender"? Were Philly, Rams or Saints contenders a year ago? Will Minnesota be a contender in 10 months? The league changes so quickly that other than the Pats labelling someone a contender in March is ludicrous.

That is hilarious, I hope he doesn't come to the Jets

I'm coming around to the prospect of Captain Kirk as a Jet. Going on his previous three seasons, he would be the first Jet to pass for 4,000 yards since... Joe Namath in 1967. That's 51 years and counting since the Jets have had a QB capable of passing for 4,000 yards or more. The second longest wait for a team to produce a QB with a 4,000+ yards passing season is the Cleveland Browns (Brian Sipe, back in 1980).

It would cost the Jets nothing but salary cap to sign Cousins, and his contract could be structured in a way that front-loads his contract so when the Jets need cap room to pay the multiple studs coming off contract ( ;) ), Cousins' contract doesn't handicap the Jets.

Plus I don't trust Maccagnan to pick the right guy, or even to execute a trade-up to get the guy he wants. The Jets wasted a second round pick on Hackenberg when at the time it was clear he was a day 3 selection. Petty is a career backup.

Signing Cousins gives the Jets some flexibility with the sixth overall pick. It's highly unlikely that one of the two best players in the draft (Barkley and Nelson) slip to six, so I would hope that with Captain Kirk aboard, Maccagnan tries to execute a trade down to pick up some offensive line help later in the first round (someone like a McGlinchey, for example), a new running back (Derrius Guice, for example) and some pass rushing help.

Cousins' contract will only temporarily make him the highest paid player in the NFL. When Ryan and Rodgers (and a few other QBs) come to renegotiate their contracts, his numbers will be overtaken pretty easily.

That makes sense, I'm not gonna cry if we do sign him just the fact he's gonna cost so much seems ludicrous when we have so many other holes to plug.
