Doesn't mean our bowling attack would have had us in a similar position on a much better bowling deck.

Bulls game both sides made over 430 first innings and declared.
Warriors game. 450 first innings and nearly 1000 runs combined for 23 wickets.
Tasmania game. 3 innings under 200 yet concede 400+ 2nd innings for 2 wickets.
SA game. 3 innings over 320. Nearly 4.

Of course more bowler friendly conditions would have benefited a bowling strong outfit. Regardless of our batting ability.

Well Tassie need to make probably another 100 runs to have a reasonably secure target, but really would not be comfortable unless they can get to a 400 run lead.

You can be sure that they will bat as long as they can. If they can survive into session 3 they should make the final.

Nah, they did the right thing. After the first innings was complete and the bonus points sorted, Tassie could bat for 2 days and roll into the final. Wouldn’t want to risk the Vics hitting a quick 400 (with Maxwell, why not?) and leaving a 250 chase on the last day
