I listened to ours and whilst I prefer the original, ours is probably one of the least affected. Some of the other teams' songs sound really woeful. Ours is very similar to the original, if a little sanitised.

Yeah listened to ours just before and they changed the note of one of the instruments (trumpet or trombone I dunno) other than that it's pretty similar.

Still the desire to try and change everything never ends

I can hear the difference with the new club song but TBH it's not as bad as I thought it might be. There was that other one going around for a while that sounded really off.

But one of his Criticisms was something along the lines of "no team celebrates its "wins/success" as hard as we do.

Which I think is a fair call.

Postman doesn't celebrate delivering the mail or however it goes.

That ‘you’ right there there pisses on any elongation happening inside your head.

I think I’ve been singing ‘as’ as well. I can be excused because I’m not a baritone so get pretty distracted jumping up and down octaves to suit my range. And to cover this I go with some exaggerated clapping like a special needs class being played the new wiggles CD. I can’t be focussing on the lyrics under this kind of pressure.

Okay but the ‘and’ you are so enamoured with is exactly the same length as the ‘we’ that follows directly after - they are a crochet each. And the old in ‘should ooooollllld acquaintance’ is longer what with it being a crotchet-quaver tied, and so is the be in ‘beeeeee forgot’, so the song is literally dripping with s**t that is longer than your and.

You should be so lucky if everyone here turns into a mini Tulip.

I thought I read someone say they didn't sing the youuuuuu part that's the part that's elongated. I've been singing 'as' we sing as well. I was wondering why you were coming back so hard about the and part I didn't even see that in the original post.
