The upcoming Trump - Kim Jong Un summit is a curious thing ...

What’s the bet that it ends with NK agreeing to suspend their nuclear and rocket program and maybe even submitting themselves to inspections in exchange for all UN sanctions getting lifted, and maybe even a little US aid or trade largesse?

Trump then goes into the mid-term season as the victorious Statesman.

All that remains unknown is how much this is costing the Russians to pull NK strings (probably not much) and whether Trump realises what’s going on (likely yes - he’s rushing headlong into this like somebody who knows it’s engineered for him to win)

I can remember back to the days when the GOP screamed at the top of their voices every day when it became known Clinton had screwed Lewinsky. They thought it was so bad they started Impeachment proceedings against him.
And the Religious right went into meltdown

Waiting......waiting.....

That happened in the Oval Office in the White House. Trump's affair was a decade ago , long before his presidency. Big difference.

Some the best people employed by Trump.

Actions always trump words. Who cares about staff turnover when the economy is thriving, jobs are being created , manufacturing is booming, stock market at record highs, wages up, bonuses for millions, unprecedented peace talks with The North Koreans..............:)

Stormy Daniels' attorney, Michael Avenatti confirms to Jake Tapper of CNN that some of the alleged incidents which Stormy Daniels will eventually claim publicly to have taken place, actually took place while Trump was President!

Lots of Trumpettes trying hard to shut down the Russian investigation all of a sudden.
Must be getting close to the truth.
Not if you check the Trump thread on Politics board, still a witch hunt.
Some of the sources cited, I have never heard of.

While I respect your healthy cynicism I think you are reading this wrong. For a start you give Trump and Putin way too much credit with your new foreign policy collusion conspiracy theory. The joint chiefs of staff have pushed this new approach to NK for a long time. Obama was unreceptive, Trump was not. So Some credit to Trump there.

US made definitive ultimatums and preparations that were known and correctly interpreted as genuine and not any kind of bluff. China informed NK there would be no help from them should the US launch an attack. The Russians informed them likewise. Firing missiles overJapan was a huge mistake from NK. The rearmament of Japan is now the real driving force behind China and Russia putting the pressure on NK. The threat of a remilitarized Japan on the doorsteps of China and Russia is behind this conference. The US has been leveraging on this.
Kim wants to save his life and his regime. He will have to fully denuclearize if he wants to do that. They already have missiles that can hit the US mainland so an agreement that merely halts further testing will not cut it. The US is determined to flex it's muscles here and show their enemies and skittish allies alike what they can still do.
Trump may well accept some compromise that will get him into a second term. Not sure a compromising here will get him there though if NK still have nukes capable of hitting LA.

Regardless of any short term compromise, longer term NK will have to denuclearize or there will be war.
