AFL Shouter on twitter reporting that Sloane wants to leave the Crows at the end of year.

Taking it with a grain of salt, but interesting nonetheless.

we played like trash against richmond which highlighted some players who are getting a free ride from our good players atm, blaming umpires is never the best idea, if they are slightly against us, what does it matter? umpires and decisions dont win or lose games, its the mental and skill abilities of the players on the day that win or lose the game... we should have lost to Richmond by 10 goals and been blasted for it, instead we get a 2 goal loss because richmond had the game in the bag and cared less in the last quarter.... therefore Clarko is all of a sudden pleased and they can forget that when the game was there to be won and ACTUALLY mattered we didnt turn up or give a f---, an under 18's team wouldve beaten us in the first 3/4, so maybe there needs to be some questions asked and some work done to prevent that pathetic rubbish, just a thought......

Sad news for the Rohan family up in Sydney overnight

Thanks for sharing, was not aware and so looked it up.

For those that don't know, his wife gave birth to twin girls on Thursday morning and one of them was born with anencephaly, a serious birth defect where babies are born without a major portion of the brain, skull and scalp. The baby unfortunately has already passed away. Sad, sad news.

Richmond reach 90,000 members. Quite astonishing for a club that did sweet FA for nearly 40 years between premierships. That’s loyalty and some serious brainwashing of young kids along the way.
There’s a hell of a lot of bandwagon jumping.
Let’s see if they can keep it up when they sliide

In fairness to the Tiggers they’ve grown their membership base every year bar one since 2004 and in most of those seasons they were basket cases. They actually grew membership last year after they finished 13th, had an internal board challenge and most people thought their coach should have been sacked.

Absolutely there’s a good 5-10,000 that have jumped on since they won a flag - but the Tigers have always had a remarkably good fan base even when they didn’t deliver for decades.

Their membership is the only thing that has kept them in the 'Big 4' conversations for decades.

I have no idea what keeps Pies, baggers and druggies in the same conversations though!

That and for some reason they’ve been financially solid for a while now. It’s a well run club financially - baffling that those bunch of misfits tried to get rid of the board 18 months ago.

* that's rough :(

Do they actually count to their total membership number?

There used to be a minimum cost ($50) and access (1 game) before it's counted.

I know Pies challenged for the access component to be removed, supposedly to allow for international members to be included - although coincidentally allowed their non-access memberships (Internet, Pet, Baby, etc) to also get counted.

Not sure if the minimum cost has lowered, or if RFC have deliberately priced the Pet membership below this threshold to avoid confusion of numbers.

Certainly an original way of raising revenue, and there would be countless Tiger fans who would love their their pets in an official tiger frame. Until, of course it finds its way into the microwave with the membership as soon as they fall from grace.
