Looks like we are getting another pretty good father/son.

With us not having a 2nd rounder this year, how does the point system work?
If he’s bid on in the second round, you use the points from your third round pick to help “pay” for West. From memory picks out to pick 73 have a points value.

If that’s not enough, then points come off next years second round pick (or third round pick if you trade next years second), pushing the pick back in the draft order.

Until the draft order is set, it’s hard to give you an example, because there could be a lot of compensation picks that push your 3rd round pick back, meaning it has less points to help pay.

Basically if West is bid on at pick 30, you need 432 points to pay for him after the discount is applied. Pick 40 is worth 429 points.

Seeing as you have 2 4th round picks, you’ll have enough points to pay for West. Little bit of mental arithmetic, if the draft was held before this round started, with the current order, you had enough points to match any bid from pick 19 back.

Have followed a decent chunk of his junior career as he played alongside my best mates little brother. Looks like skillwise he'll be a handy pickup. His behaviour though could use some work.

Can you elaborate on that.. How does he behave?
