Best example of the five minute warning was Sydney v WCE in the 2005 GF.

Wasn't it great, that with the last kick and eventual mark by Leo Barry, that no one was quite sure how long there was left and if the swans were going to hold on.

You could have cut the tension in the air with a knife - That's why I loved the five minute warning.


P.S. Another good example was last Sunday's Werribee v Geelong VFL game. No countdown clock by the ABC, Werribee storm home from 7 goals down to be within 5 points and attacking when the siren went.
