The sad part is how good some of their kids look. Cripps, Fisher, Dow, McKay, Charlie Curnow all looked really good tonight. But holy crap the bottom 6 is woeful and that is why they are playing such bad football. Shaw, Lamb, Silvagni, Polson, Pickett, Garlett, Jones really let the side down tonight. May be harsh on Pickett and Garlett, but they look like magical indigenous footballs in the mould of all the greats, but have none of the tricks or the pace. It fell apart very quickly for Clem Smith and i'm worried it will happen to these boys as well.

Seriously, we came into the season with our top tier midfield being Cunnington, Higgins (who's preferred position is half-forward), Anderson (Hawks included in their top 10 of highway robberies), Jacobs (missing two years of footy), Hartung (Hawks couldn't get a trade for) and Dumont.

Which club going around has a worse midfield? There is just no excuse whatsoever for failing to be competitive in this day and age. If you can't put together a team that is going to be competitive in two years you are a s**t coach. Don't expect miracles but why can't this mob put pressure on their opponents? Why can't they hit uncontested passes? It is just shithouse.
