Roys FFC recovery session


This week the Roys came to visit, and the banter was mostly about mint slices and alcohol.

I knew I should have locked away our pingas, the Roys have gone from digestive biscuits to mint slices! What next..mid strength beer?

mid strength is for warriors. We drink full strength

Nothing ‘mid’ has ever touched a Warriors lips, we make our own Coney brew right here at Van Cortlandt

And this week we brewed a special batch just for you guys, enjoy it through a straw on the bus trip home

I don't drink alcohol so I just have an orange juice thanks

You’re really gonna enjoy my breath come our centre bounce showdown come Sunday...I might even have a couple of drinks beforehand too

The Roys captain had a huge day, he even managed to f*** up the team sheet and still smashed us and eventually led his club to their first Premiership in 20 seasons.

That's just how good he is

We took a huge hit and with only 2 wins we were left clinging to 8th on the ladder

This was a big week for the Warriors with League Legend Itsmyshow celebrating his 300th SFA game and Club Legend and sweetheart Dips celebrating his 150th.

I'm very excited about this week against the #lolwonders ...
It's been a long time coming, but I get to celebrate my 300th game against a long time rival/rabble.
I expect loads of love and nostalgia this week from some of my long time frenemies.

The Warriors celebrated in true fashion and partied hard all week…maybe a little too hard. It was a really fun week with the Wonders and they got into the spirit with us (literally)

Mr Smooth was one of my favourite posters. Since he was usurped by Dips, he has lost a bit of quality, but is still pretty good.
Congratulations mate!

Mr_Smooth died with my marriage - Dips is a far better guy, certainly less fat! now 120kg lighter since I don't have to carry that fat cow anymore!

We wore our special commerative jumpers and rolled out the banners but unfortunately we couldn’t get the job done for our boys #thestreak had well and truly set in.








Dapper worked his butt off and IMS and Wooshette kicked 4 a piece but it just wasn’t enough to get us over the line for the boy’s milestones.

It really is. But you have to cut me some slack. I got it when I was 14 years old. It’s probably older than you...

Then I appreciate you posting that pic. Good example of not getting s**t tats and looking like a douche when I grow up.

This was a really fun week, Morgs pulled out all stops and posted 74 times, a record for her. There was some good laughs and oh so much melting,

NaturalDisaster did the Match OP and of course got everything wrong, so there was an easy target to warm up on for the match. He had our rookies as Rats rookies and Gumbies rookies as Bombers rookies..just to name a few stuff ups. He also had the Warriors as going backwards off field even though we were averaging around 17 posters a week at this stage. It was a credit to us, we kept getting smashed on the qooty field but we kept our spirits up as true Warriors do.

There was some fun banter between Morgs and Beeg..we didn’t ask why she was wearing his socks, but she did say they were small and we all know what small feet mean..

I'm keeping you relevant mate, you're a nobody now.

Every season we announce the PWND trophy to the player who makes the opposition melt the most and the rest of us laugh our arses off.
The winner of the Season25 PWND trophy is Frankston Rover.
Once again Frankie has been invaluable in match threads bringing a hardness, honesty and humor that very few can match. His one liners and his persona melts are the envy of every club. If you don’t get Frankie you don’t get the SFA, he’s got a passion for the league and a passion for the club and it shows year after year. But he’s always got a big shiteating grin on his face too..unless you dupe his Wazzas then he’ll take your head off and s**t down your neck.

Congrats on the milestone Frankie you legend! I hoped I’d never have to make the trek back to the freezing cold shithole that is Waverley, but here we are.

This was another important week for us, it was our beloved Frankies 250th game and we wanted so bad to get it up for him..but again we were smashed all over the park. Frankie as always kept his humor up, though it was the Easter Long Weekend and many people were away on holidays or busy with family that week.
We did wear a beautiful limited edition jumper though so at least we looked good while being rogered.






Dapper and candie did their best, but the rest of us were too full of piss and chocolate to show up.

The cheer squad have spoken...

When you get smashed by the Swamprats you know you’re having a bad streak.
It was a turning point for the Rats who had only won 2 games up until now, but went on to play in the Grand final against the Roys.
As for the Warriors…








It was a good thread, lots of banter and easy going chat..lets face it, the Warriors had very little material to work with by this stage and really only cared about getting drunk every week to make the pain go away.

This week we travelled to Dragon Island, it was a very quiet week which suited us fine after the Rats.

Round 12 and we hosted the Furies at Van Cortlandt the season had come full circle but nothing much had changed, it was a pretty good match thread..mostly the Furies just fighting amongst themselves…they were on their third captain for the season.

If we lose this week NaturalDisaster which do you prefer:
1) back of the head, no warning, while fishing on a lake (the Fredo)
2) dig your own grave, have the s**t kicked out of you, buried alive (the Nicky)
3) shot point blank in a diner with your family present listening to Journey (the Tony)
4) have a big banquet dinner with all Furies present, baseball bat to the back of your head until its goo (the Scalise)

NaturalDisasters is putting us through a new training program this week.
Prediction: Furries to bag a win this week

I don't imagine getting one's "st kilda bouncers" stuck between two doors would be all that pleasant

I think this is how the Warriors felt every week as the sim slammed our bouncers in a door.

Reporter: So, another loss, FR. Does losing non stop for weeks on end begin to affect you?
Me:

Redvest, candie and Dapper did their best but it was a slow low scoring game, our highest DT was 80..the sim really had it in for us. With 4 games to go we were sitting on the bottom of the ladder with only 2 wins and one draw, and dangerously close to winning the clubs first wooden spoon.

We meet the Royals again in Round 13, they were sitting 7th on the ladder and trying desperately to hang on and play finals. We were wallowing on the bottom after 8 losses in a row, then AB came in with some great news

On a happy note we were wrapt to have Nakia join us, one of the leagues best and cutting posters there was a good vibe at the Warriors and hope once again sprung eternal thanks to the Gumbies.
Unfortunately we have heard that Nackers has now hitched his Wagon to a travelling Band and is touring around wearing a blue rubber suit.
We love ya Nackers...whereever you are *cough cough

We were so busy laughing at the Gobbies we couldn’t really concentrate on the field and lost the game, but we had a freebie gifted to us so we were winners the easy way




Vesty broke some sort of record with one mark but no disposals
zackah had one handball
Freofalcon was in fine form with one mark, one kick and one behind.

Yep, the sim just toyed with us this season but this week we weren’t even mad

Round 14




The Bears came to play at Van Cortlandt Park and it was a fast paced high scoring match. Comewhatmay played her best game of the season taking 6 marks and kicking 4 goals to score equal votes with Vesty who also put on a clinic. But it wasn’t enough, gym4life after melting all over the thread for a week kicked 10 goals and gave the Bears a victory they sorely needed after only having 4 wins for the season.

By this stage we were basically numb and just hoping to get through the last couple of weeks and head off to that bastion of Bay hideaways, Eastern Europe

The second last game was tense and exciting, with the Warriors still trying to avoid the spoon and the Demons needing the win to play finals. The Warriors were back to their best with 8 goal kickers and BigJoe playing a blinder leading the team on field to a much needed big win.
When the win finally came we were bemused and disorientated more than anything

Season 26 was the season of the wart, with old mate zackah giving us plenty of fuel to troll him with when we had nothing else to bater about, there was always the wart..so thanks for that ​

#Wartiors​

It was a mixed season, terrible on the field but we averaged around 15 -17 posters a week and made sure we had fun and took the piss out of ourselves as well as others. Thanks to the Gumbies being total basket cases though we avoided the wooden spoon and our record remains clean, we did however miss finals for only the 3rd time.

Our Season 25 rookie BLERN came away with the EKA and has decided to go help the Gumbies. In S26. We thank him for his service and wish him well. Chappyuk has also moved on to the Furies, love ya Chapps and see you back here in S27.
