What is everyone's thoughts on the My Health Record?

Very mixed feelings.

Essentially it’s a great idea very poorly executed.

The benefits should be creating more continuity in care, a reduction in errors (for instance, if someone has an emergency and ends up in an emergency department unconscious, being able to access a basic medical history, medications and allergies is incredibly important), and if properly implemented should save the health care system plenty by reducing replication of tests etc.

But the downside, especially on an individual probably outweighs that. The opportunity for insurance companies, health insurance and employers to misuse the information is massive. Many people won’t necessarily think there’s much they can gain from that, but it can be very relevant, especially in regards to any potential mental health diagnoses or treatments.

Fallout 76 is an unmitigated disaster lmao. Who the * thought it was a good idea, it's probably one of the most broken games I've seen. It's fallout 4 except a million times worse, and fallout 4 was terrible.

5 through 75 were decent though, way to focus on the negatives.

They already did this for TES, it's called Online.
I know this. It's pretty s**t, but I don't care for online games. So TES:O and 76 are of no interest to me.

I'm more referring to TES:VI. I really wasn't keen on what they did with Fallout 4.
I haven't been too keen on Bethesda's direction in general since 2011, but that might be me being a grumpy old gamer.

On the topic of games, I see Microsoft have bought Obsidian. At least now they should have all the money they need to make games.
Also, I don't think Microsoft are as hot on making deadlines as some publishers. So hopefully Obsidian can finally finish a game without having to cut half of it due to being overambitious (IE: KotOR II, FO:NV, Alpha Protocol).

Sucks if you don't play on PC or Xbox though.

Obsidian aren't Obsidian anymore as far as core staff are concerned

We've got the PL throwback IPA on tap at work and this is really crude but an Asian dude rolled up to the bar the other day and said straight up said "can I have a Private Life?" and I barely held it together man I mean

Get ready for TES:VI to be poop, they're planning on using the same engine they've been using for about 12 years.

Dare I ask where they hid them...?

In other news - a container load of Viagra has been stolen. Police are on the lookout for a gang of hardened criminals.

I hardly ever talk with my younger brother. We have nothing in common. He is a multi, multi millionaire businessman in Adelaide, earning enough money each year to run a small country! We also have very different values, so virtually never communicate. I might catch up with him for a stilted coffee whenever we visit Adelaide, but that's about it.

I have more in common with my older brother. We both trade the stock market, and are both mad Port supporters, so we always communicate regularly on those two fronts.

It is sad, but it is what it is!
It's much harder to stay connected when your values are very different. Great that you have a brother you get on so well with. Most of my family are passionate football supporters but we are split between Port and the Crows. Sometimes challenging when one team is doing a lot better than the other.

My brother lives around the corner and we haven't even spoke since partner and I had our baby three weeks ago.

Actually I fib, I texted him to ask if there's fast travel in Spider-Man cause seriously, that s**t didn't unlock til like 30% through it and I was thinking bugger me I ain't playing this game through all the way if I have to swing everywhere.

Congratulations. Hope you're enjoying being a Dad. Kids are hard work but worth it.

That's why Atomic Blonde is brilliant. Charlize Theron ends up looking like this more than once.

She gets just as ****** up as the people she ****s up. It doesn't treat it's lead with an air of invincibility. It's not just visual either, when you watch it she does a great job of showing the utter exhaustion.

I've watched that movie several times, for the... ummm... action.

Pretty decent soundtrack too.

Has anyone noticed there is barely any foreign language movies/tv series on SBS any more? That's what it actually used to be. Now it isn't. Why?

Plenty on SBS On Demand
