Great thread again, I would blame Chris Scott and the list management team.I think the memo must have been 'build a list that will be mediocre for 12 years but won't finish below 10th'. Also 'draft in a big money free agent when we are out of the premiership window and extend Chis Snot's contract even though he can't win finals'.

Its difficult when you artifically finish a little higher than your skill levels dictate because of home ground advantage.
They havent had the edge of bigger bodys that could run and break tackles like no other team since they changed fitness staff

Can't see Geelong playing finals again for 5-10 years. Cats fans will have to dust off the '07*, '09* and '11* GF highlights on DVD (have DVD's arrived in Geelong?), although the AFL is likely to investigate and remove those tainted flags. It'll be good to see St Kilda finally winning their 2nd flag. Much deserved, after a shocking goal umpiring decision cost them in '09.

12 - 6 = 6.

Geelong is the new North Melbourne

Make finals but never win, never get decent picks to improve, remain middle of the road.

They are stuck in a vicious cycle now.
This is so accurate. Both sides will continue to recruit players good enough to keep them from bottoming out, but not good enough to have them become genuine contenders.

Polec, Dalhaus, Tyson, Hall, Henderson, Tuohy, S. Selwood, Ahern, Menegola, Anderson, etc.

They are stuck in a vicious cycle now. Soon they wont make finals at all.
Can't afford to slip down the ladder and lose the few supporters they have left, most players would sacrifice their left testical rather than having to move to Geelong, hard to fix, my suggestion is they merge with Norf and become the Norf West CataRoos

Is the best way to pay tribute to Tom Hafey to wait until he's dead to win a flag?

If you’ve got less than ten flags and under 75,000 members, you’re a minnow. If you haven’t won a flag in five years, you’re in a drought. Geelong lol
Correct.

Any club with less than double figures in Flag total, should be pissed off to a Bush comp.
