This is awkward as l was referencing Lynch, May etc. However Miller is good, Hanley when at his best is good.
Smith is only a year or so away from taking over the ruck l reckon, possibly as soon as this year

Take a deep breath, relax and trust in the system. Remember we're missing a lot of players and this is just a scratchie. Easy to go into a game like this without the right mental concentration. still four quarters to go!

Haha fair enough.
Lynch had 1 good game last year, was pretty hobbled much of the year. May can be either good and bad depending on his mood - no doubt he is a very talented player.
Witts and Thompson probably our best players at their position - close to top 10 at their position league wide which says something..


Well yes, it would be a tricky handover - although if Smith is a better tap ruckman the young mids might benefit in their development more if he plays. Other than helping win an extra game or two this year, there probably isn't a huge amount of benefit continuing to stall Smith's progress in favour of playing Martin.

From memory the Hawks lost all their pre season games in each of their flag years. Not positive being beaten but add Zorko, Hodge, Gardiner, Adams, Rich etc and this'd be a different game.
