Cartwright flops again.

Why did Inglis bat 3? Bosisto getting an easy run down the order?

No idea, maybe the guy managing the side is not that good. All I hope for from here is that the newbies get runs and wickets. The sooner Cartwright and Bosisto are out of the side the better.

That Cartwright shot is something else. He went so early with it to, so much so that SOK changed his ball because he saw him.

Did Cartwright actually play Test Cricket for Australia?

And looked at home too.

I just don't get what has happened to him - in every format too he has turned into a non-contributor.

Bancroft the big positive I guess (though nice seeing Whiteman back in the side and making runs). Really the middle order should've capitalised on the good start, but here we are again.

Amazing scorecard.

Most people have Warner and Smith in but not Bancroft which is understandable based on career records. Bancroft has the advantage of actually being able to play more FC cricket though in the lead up to the ashes. He is a better player than Harris and if he keeps scoring runs he will be hard to leave out of the touring squad at a minimum.

That's true, but they will see a strike rate under 40 and that's far too slow for where they want test cricket to get to.

No reason all 3 can’t play anyway and drop Harris who will be a walking wicket in England

Patterson 3 short of a ton at lunch. Only 6 overs to make up a points gap with Victoria for NSW after it, given that his is highly likely to be a draw.

What a farce the four-day game has become.

Half of that WA line up should still be wrapping up their 3 month Contiki tour. It's Richardson, NCN, Turner, Behrendorff, Stoinis and Short who should be plying their craft here pushing for Ashes selection.

Instead they wrap up one T20 domestic comp, fly over to India for a meaningless t20/ODI series and come back for a brief cameo before the seasons wrapped up.

Imagine like, playing half a dozen matches and getting 12 innings to build form before something really important like an away Ashes series?

Nahhhhhh
