I think there's been one Norm Smith given out in a losing side

Maurice Rioli - 1982
Gary Ablett - 1989
Nathan Buckley - 2002
Chris Judd - 2005
Lenny Hayes - 2010 (didn't win so counting that one as a loss)

Only Judd out of that lot won a flag - I'm guessing the other four would have gladly given up the Norm Smith for a premiership medal

We all agree then that Sheed has achieved and produced the ultimate dream. Bettering even Brownlow Medallists ( unless a Brownlow winner has did both ) Why isn't Sheed getting even more recognition then? Why isn't Sheed being recognised as a football god? He was worthy of a norm Smith medal too and amassed over 30 possessions, and averaged about that in his last 6 games for WCE.

If Pendlebury or De Goey kicked it, the media would have milked it a lot more. Regardless, they still wouldn't compare it to the Brownlow, the highest honour, but we all agree what Sheed did is the highest honour in football.

Fair enough could only think of Buckley off the top of my head forgot about the the others.

Because the last kick of the game doesn't give channel 7 a full year of promotion, a huge night ceremony where all the girls get their **** out an are the 'real stars' etc

No contest. The harder the goal the better, you'll be in advertisements, flashbacks, highlight reels and the collective memory of AFL supporters as a whole forever. Plus you win the premiership with your team mates.

Anyone who says Brownlow is lying for the sake of lying, like people that go around disliking youtube videos for no reason, or graffiti buildings to be "cool".

Lol the Grand Final with all the bullshit taken away is one game of the year. Standard duration match with 4 quarters. Brownlow is over 22 games. Winning goal in a premiership is more special and rarer but a Brownlow is always better in terms of being the best.
