Before we get too outraged by Laura Kane, I just want to point out that people are getting Head of Football Operations and GM of Football mixed up.

If you want to start comparing names, then you're better off comparing her to Shannon Collins, who is the Football Operations Coordinator for Collingwood. From what I can find it looks like they have a background in Graphic Design.

Does the coach have their support? Do they enjoy playing under him?

Can confirm, have spoken with the family of a player in our 22 and that player does not like Brad. I’m sure there are others.

They put on a very united front of support for Brad but I feel that there’s only a core group that respect him and the rest are silent.

Let's take a look, we finish 9th with two years to go on Scott's deal. He recruits five senior players in the hope we can improve slightly and make finals. Last year of his deal we''re sitting say 6/5 and we'd resign him. Rinse and repeat, we've been had folks.

Also I can say that Joyce has no respect amongst his peers in the AFL- none!!
 
If true, how has Brad got such a strong base of power?
He’s pretty dispensable based on output and not super difficult to replace.
Once again, if true, the folks under his spell must be pretty weak characters

VFL alignment- winless and flogged by 94 points -Fail

Women's academies. Yawn and in the nice to have category, without a men's team there is no women's team.

Why on earth is vitriol being directed at someone who has nothing to do with on field performance?


What does Laura actually do, and how does her 4 year tenure at Waller Legal (specialising in child abuse) qualify her as a worthy candidate for head of football operations of the NMFC?

I find it more than a little disturbing that he's in bed with the person who tried so hard to move us to the Gold Coast.

Anyway, I'm sure that Ben could give us some mates rates on their Governance & Board Review service offering. Even better, maybe him and the majority of the footy department could avail themselves of the Career Transition & Planning services.

One definitely won’t. One definitely would. Leaves it with the other two, one of them needs to lose confidence on him and call a player meeting.

Kane is in charge of all those things that lead you towards some type of success and is currently failing in them all. But thank you for not suggesting it's gender based bias, that would be untrue. I'd name Joan of Arc as our cpt tomorrow.

Carl Dilena - Has VFL/AFL football experience, and business acumen, but I highly suspect he is a Peter Scanlon crony.
Julie Laycock - Marketing with 7-11. No football prowess, and I wouldn't claim our marketing is any great shakes either.
Geoff Lewis - An I.T. consultant.
Brady Scanlon - A rich kid carrying on his old mans work as a director of the Scanlon Foundation.
Brian Walsh - A spin doctor. The Managing Director of "Bastion Reputation Management", former AFL employee, and a former Hun editor.

Why is this collection of people in charge of our football club?

Does anybody here know with her qualifications just how difficult it is to get any job...let alone an esteemed title at an AFL club only a few years after graduating?

I don't want to unfair single her out as...

The whole club stinks of commercial nepotism right now. You know that phase a company goes through where highly sought after positions are no longer going to the best candidates but a 'mate of a mate'? That phase where the company gets stale and inefficient as people just work on preserving their jobs and securing jobs for those 'in the circle'?

Corey McKernan claims he offered to help the club and was denied.

It feels a bit like we are in that death spiral.

These are the two people that the rank and file should be looking to sway.

Higgins would
JMac would take a bullet or Brad
