It likely would have worked at any other team than Essendon who are rotten to the core. Only Cockburn could have ****ed it up as bad as Essendon did. The only bright side was that Jobe had a couple of good seasons in him while on the juice. Now we just look back on it as Hird cheated as a player and a coach, luckily for him when he cheated as a player it was just him so the flag eventuated.
