Round 10 saw just two matches but both were pretty good games in the end. The match between Peel Thunder and South Fremantle went down to the wire with a late goal to Souths sealing victory for them by three points. The other game saw Swan Districts take it up to Claremont for the first three quarters before the Tigers pulled away in the last term. Tipping wise, most got two this week with Westozbb picking the margin exactly as Claremont won by 34 points.

After 10 rounds there's not much change at the top of the leaderboard with Miguel Sanchez and samFFC tied for the lead on 34 points, Monocle remains in third position on 33 points while Freofalcon stays in fourth place with 32 points. In a tie for fifth place is gaskin and myself on a total of 31 points.

Round 11 Fixtures

East Fremantle vs West Coast Eagles at New Choice Homes Park (11:40am, margin)
South Fremantle vs Subiaco at Fremantle Community Bank Oval (2:15pm)
Perth vs Peel Thunder at Mineral Resources Park (2:15pm)
Claremont vs East Perth at Claremont Oval (2:15pm)
Swan Districts vs West Perth at Steel Blue Oval (2:25pm)

Round 11 is just around the corner and with the first lot of bye rounds out of the way we have a full compliment of games this week with all five set to take place on Saturday. The first of the afternoon games sees South Fremantle taking on Subiaco at Fremantle Community Bank Oval in what is a clear Match of the Round. Souths are the only team to have beaten Subiaco this year and will certainly like their chances against the reigning premiers in this top of the ladder clash. The Bulldogs will have to do so without ruckman Brock Higgins though who was suspended on Monday for engaging in rough conduct which saw him suspended for a week. Subiaco will be keen to make amends for their earlier loss to the Bulldogs and head into the game having had an extra week's break with the bye last week. Mineral Resources Park will see Perth battle Peel Thunder in another entertaining contest to take place in Round 11. Perth had a great start to the season but have dropped a few games in recent weeks including kicking just one goal against Subiaco back in Round Nine. The Demons will be looking to put that behind them and come out firing against a Peel Thunder outfit on a four game losing streak which has seen them slip outside the top five. Both clubs be will be up and about come Saturday in what shapes as a big clash for either side.

Claremont will play host to East Perth to be played at Claremont Oval on Saturday. The Tigers moved into third place in Round 10 and a win over the Royals could see them potentially catch up a game on either Subiaco or South Fremantle depending on the result of that fixture. East Perth have had some up and down form in recent weeks, posting a hard fought win over rivals West Perth coupled with a 62 point loss to East Fremantle just before their bye. A win for the Royals could put them on the edge of the top five at the end of the round so they'll be out to upset the Tigers on their home patch this week. The final game of the round has West Perth travelling to Bassendean to face Swan Districts at Steel Blue Oval. Swans have had some frustrating results this season, playing well against sides inside the top five only to fall away somewhat in the final quarter of matches. They've shown their best is good enough but just need to sustain it for a bit longer in order to get the win. West Perth started the season slowly before working their way into things and come into the match having had the bye last week. The Falcons sit in fifth spot at the moment so victory for them here would help solidify their spot in the top five and perhaps even widen the gap between them and the chasing pack if some results fall their way.

The TV game this week was supposed to be South Fremantle vs Subiaco (and was going to be played on Sunday) but the return of Nic Naitanui sees the East Fremantle vs West Coast Eagles fixture as the telecast match this week. As mentioned, Naitanui will play in the WAFL this week with the Eagles' WAFL team in his first match back after a second knee reconstruction so there will be a fair amount of focus on the game from that perspective. East Fremantle meanwhile have also built up some good form over the past few weeks with three wins in four matches and they'll be searching for another on their home ground against the Eagles. The telecast of this game begins at 11:30am on Channel Seven with bouncedown scheduled for 11:40am. This match leads into Channel Seven's AFL coverage at 2:30pm with the Saturday Night fixture's pre-game show on 7mate at 4:30pm.

In the other grades there's not too much movement with all Colts and Reserves matches scheduled to begin at 9am and 11:30am respectively with the exception of the Swan Districts vs West Perth matches where the Colts have an early start at 8:20am while the Reserves also have an earlier game with that one to get underway at 10:50am.

The weather this weekend is not looking great with showers and storms to be a feature of Saturday and Sunday. Saturday is set to be the worst of the two days with showers and possible thunderstorms set to begin in the afternoon with up to 45mm of rain possible during the day. The forecast maximum for Saturday is set to be 22 degrees at this stage so it won't be a cold day despite the rain and the wind to follow later.

Well, back to five games this week with all fixtures looking to be pretty good match-ups. Hopefully the rain keeps away until later and we can see some good footy over the course of Saturday. Happy tipping!!
