It will come down to if GC think Rankine and Luko will sign new contracts. If both request to leave next year out of contract, then the trade deal will be a lot less.

Grundy has been in Adelaide over the weekend - which was quite possibly to watch his younger brother play for Port in the SANFL. The crows would be silly to trade out a top 2 pick this year for Grundy when he is an RFA at the end of next year and won't cost as much

just an opinion, but in the current position GC find themselves in, wouldn't 2 extremely good midfielders help them to win games more than a young developing forward who will take time and a small forward who at this stage can't even get on the park?. Most teams that are near the top of the ladder have a great midfield (ie geelong with Danger, Selwood and Ablett, Collingwood with Pendelbury, treloar etc). With 2 top young mids in addition to the mids GC already have maybe GC win the St Kilda game, the other St Kilda game and a couple of others as well.
