I totally agree with you having Grainger-Barras higher than the mooted top 3 of Thilthorpe, Hollands and McDonald. When Grainger-Barras played on McDonald he tore him a new one. Adelaide having pick 1 is a double edged sword, particularly in the year we've had and no clear number 1. It would not surprise me at all, if a redraft in 5 years time, throws up a much different top 10.

I think Jones will end up a better player than whoever the crows take at 1
Haha that will cause years of debate angst and merriment if that happens.

In a draft heavily compromised by academy players, clubs are learning more in recent days about the likelihood of when bids will come in for such players.

Collingwood's next generation academy tall midfielder/defender Reef McInnes is being regularly linked by industry sources to one of Essendon's trio of top 10 picks. The Pies would prefer a bid not come for McInnes until after Collingwood's second selection (currently No.16).

lotta talls this draft

:/

Should be plenty around our later and rookie picks still.

In fact i'd say this is the first year in a long long time i'd be confident of picking some talls late and them developing into AFL quality players

Getting Jones, we can almost take a free swing at a high risk / high reward option... If we could somehow manage it I'd love to speculate and take Baldwin.

If we ended up trading for a mid/late first rounder as hypothesized by some here, I would see if any of Perkins, Stone or Ford were still there (X factor forwards who could go through the midfield too).

If we have a late pick left after Lachie and Taj, would like to have a crack at either Spicer or Maher (quick, agile mids - one outside, one inside) or Baldwin.

2016 memories in play by the swans?

Buddy signed up for 2021 +2022 with Buddy like player drafted if doogies don't match. The AFL would love that.

Bloody big difference between points have to give up to match bid at 1 v 3.
1. 2,400
2. 2,014
3. 1,787

WB at this stage have picks 29,33,41,42,52,54 = 2,489 pts. There is a big difference between having Ugle-Hagan + pick 65 generated, if have to match a bid at 1 compared to at 3 they would end up with;
Ugle-Hagan + picks 52, 53 generated and 54
