Define 'On-Baller' and 'KPP'

Onballer. Bloke who plays on the ball.
KPP. Bloke who covers the sides spine. FF/CHF/ETC.

......Ok the game is now based on KPP and Midfielders. Starting positions are irrelevant these days.
Think 3 Tall Forwards between 190 and 200 cm. And three Tall Defenders to play on the opposition forwrds. 1-2 Ruckman,
that makes 7-8 players over 190, Rest of the players are under 192 and play as midfielders, Defensive, Attacking and central, a bit like soccer.

But don't they all at some stage? Maybe the rare completely -ve tagger doesn't. Remember my opening dilemma, explaining these terms to someone new to football. Especially as if you look around at diagrams of the various footy positions such as this one and see no KPPs or on-ballers mentioned.

Sides? So 15 KPPs? Many of whom are simultaneously on-ballers. Tricky isn't it.
When did this new terminology come in. Whatever happened to 'followers'? Why did it change?

Onballer - runs around in the midfield, aka midfielder, can still push forward or back
170-195cm
Sub-categories:
Inside - roam around packs and ruck stoppages, handball or quick kicks
Outside - receive and kick or run and handball
Tagger - defensive minded aka run-with
Wing - take more bounces along the side of the ground

Key position player - usually stay around the 50m arcs but can push to their opposite arc
191-205cm

Ruck - 197-211cm
Takes CBD and out of bounds throwins

Ruck-forward - 197-207cm
Takes ruck duties and rests forward

Quarterback - long accurate kick, defensive side, 182-189cm

Running back - dashes out of the backline and takes many bounces
182-189

Third tall - smaller more mobile but still taller than an average person and decent mark, 187-192cm

High half forward - link midfield to forward line, fast and good tackler, 182-189cm

Forward pocket - deep, good tackler, fast and high leap, 170-184cm

Striker - breaks tackles, fast, long accurate kick, runs forward from midfield, 187-190cm
