Game Day Port v Pretend Port @ Port’s Pretend Home Ground- Time to Prove We Are Not Pretenders

It was an obvious free
It wasn't. Lycett actually ****ed up in defending the space for Drew, so much that Grundy could've easily gone to spoil Drew.

But Grundy was paying more attention to Lycett and tried to interfere with Lycett's marking attempt.

And because Drew's mark was so open because he was the only one that read where the ball was landing it looks like Lycett has blocked Grundy.

OMG. Torturous as usual.
At least we started to get some fluid movement in transition towards the back end of that half.
Too many unforced errors by foot tbh.
Look like we're on auto pilot half the time.
Can we stretch 3 goal margin into 10 next half?

Genuine question, we have arguably one of the best forward lines on paper in terms of raw talent (once you add back in Robbie and Orazio), why do we play this gross defensive dribble? It doesn't even feel like it's effective defensive dribble, when the ball comes out against us the opposition always seems to have tons of space.

Lycetts ‘marking attempt’
Let’s not be that kind of supporter. We are getting a good run for once and that was a clear free.

Lycett sometimes plays like a guy who knows he has little to no competition for his spot.
He’s a big game player. Coasts through games against shite sides like Collingwood. I don’t hate it because he’s super important for our structure so playing it safe isn’t a bad thing. We need him to tighten up on Grundy though, he’s playing a very good game.
