Like, the thing is, everyone knew what they were going to do. Everyone had planned around it. It was a world class group. And yet he still did it, and he still won with it.

It was an exciting edition of the World's with an deserving winner in Alaphalippe who was by far the strongest.

Matthews should have followed the moves and made the front group BUT he was let down by his team - He was left isolated with 60kms to go BUT yet Durbridge,Scotson and Schultz never left the back of the peleton, Haas who was looking after Ewan was dropped with just under 100kms to go, and then sullied the jersey by doing wheelies on the Leuven circuit, while Stannard got into a break and died - Reckon, Matthews got more support from his trade team-mate in Mezgec.
