Who in this thread have aimmediate family relative ( not friends of friends ) who has been admitted to ICU or has died because of Covid-19 since March 2019

Who in this thread has a work colleague who has been admitted to ICU or died because of COVID-19 since March 2019

As for me No relative nor Work colleague has been admitted to ICU nor has anyone died of COVID-19

outside both family and work I don’t know of anyone who has been in ICU or died from COVID-19

Yeah man, it's all a conspiracy. Have you ever seen the earth curve? Maybe it is flat!

That will probably change in the next few months.

There has, so far, in the grand scheme of things... been s**t all cases in Australia. Why though? Lockdowns & restrictions... love em or hate em.

You’ve obviously got way more friends than I have , and you don’t know anyone who’s been in ICU or died of COVID-19 ?
I know someone who had a minor breakdown because he spent 6 months donning borderline painful ppe all day every day as he worked and watched people suffering and dieing from covid. So yes I do know someone.

Also, the 1300 people who have died in Australia had friends and families who knew them.

The 4.5 million people worldwide who have died from covid had family and friends.

The question was only asked once , just looking for answers

So far four poster know of no one on ICU or died of COVID-19, nor been to the moon
ive never actually met someone who thinks any of covid isnt real, covid isnt a serious disease, people shouldnt get the vaccine or the lockdowns are a bad idea.

guess that means that none of that is true. good to finally put an end to the discussion.

So you don’t know anyone who has been in ICU or died of COVID-19 either
If I said yes, would it make you change any aspect of your beliefs related to covid?
No?
Didnt think so
I will tell you how my day has been. I am a solo GP in a small town. Next GP is 250K's away. Nearest hospital is 370K's away by road. We have no hospital here at all. We have no means to ventilate a patient. We have one morgue bed. Today I was emailing services in regards a plan in case we have more than 2 deaths at the same time...or within 2 or 3 days of each other. They have suggest that when the time comes, we hire a refrigerated truck. This is probably better than my idea to commandeer one of the IGA fridges.
You keep going with your sh*t, I will keep doing mine. Unless you want to swap.

i'm not sure you'd enjoy lining up at centrelink every day any more than what you already do.

But from me, you have my gratitude for the hard work and keep it up :thumbsu:

What is the actual point of this truly disappointing line of questioning of yours?

I don't know anyone that owns a PS5 bro but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

Four people?!

Well I'm convinced.

Only 0.45% of the Australian population has had knowingly had Covid. Have you considered that the people these FOUR posters know sit in the 99.5% of people that have not had Covid?

For what it's worth, yes, I know someone that had Covid. They were pretty unwell but recovered from it and haven't had any issues. They're also 24 years old and pretty much completely healthy.

Just having a quick look at some numbers:

Australia - 116,000 cases out of a population of 25m. 0.464 percent of the population has had covid.

USA - There's been 43.9m cases in the US out of a population of 330m. 13.3 percent of the population has had covid.

Apply that 13.3 percent infection rate to Australia. That would be 3,325,000 cases.

Apply our death rate to that number. You've got 38,570 deaths in Aus. Apply the US death rate you've got 53,200 deaths here in Aus.

Probably a fair chance you knew someome who has had covid, been hospitalised, been in ICU or died of covid in that hypothetical.

I'll ad the UK on. 7.9 million cases out of a population of 67 million. 11.9 percent of the population has had covid.

That would 2,975,000 cases in Australia.

31,900 deaths with our current death rate. 46,750 with the UK death rate.

Probably a fair chance you would know someone who has had covid, been hospitalised, been put into ICU or died of covid in that one too..

You know we've either been at COVID 0 or in lockdown since March 2020 right?

wife had a colleague at work. A teacher. Copped Covid. Experienced irreparable cognitive issues as a result. Cannot teach anymore.

Thanks mate. Like all doctors, not in for for any thanks or glory at all. Just here to help.
Knowing that some of my patients may well die, vaccinated or not, is not something I enjoy having to plan for :(

Quite a lot, but it's not about how many citizens are affected, it's about the industries they work in (as you agreed with when we mentioned aged care). It's a matter of whether you agree with the industries rather than the number of people.

which industries arent on the list?? what percentage of workers are not on the list?? i doubt anyone is apparently not on this list.

I am not sure what i said previously is going to change due to a mandate by daniel andrews to vaccinate the entire state disguised as a list.

The list actually includes by the way " work at home payroll staff"... i doubt there isnt a single working profession not on that list, it was embarrasing to even make a list.. why not just be direct and say all workers??

i will just reiterate what i said, small government to look after elderly and the disabled, so hospitals and aged care, those who cannot look after themselves, thats it. the work at home payroll staff and the other 500,000 categories covering every entire employment i disagree with.

So socialism has never worked anywhere but everywhere is socialist. Nice cognitive dissonance you have going on there.

its ideologies are everywhere with young people at present, so its a very dangerous time the next 10-20 years once this generation and the one below it starts coming through and voting in larger numbers. Look at the increase in support bernie sanders got at the party elections, is that not proof enough for you?

Rome doesnt fall overnight, but the way things are going we will be hitting a crossroad and some big decisions down the pathway.

Who is teaching this? Who is been taught this? and what are they teaching specifically??......in relation to Australia.

majority of the issues are coming out of university research around the world and catching on elsewhere. Don't quite me exactly on this, but a decent proportion of these socialist researchers identify themselves as marxist thinkers, can get back to you on the figure later if it comes back to me or i come across it again.

Good example in our schools from a young age is safe schools here in our backyard. But most of the problems is coming out of the universities then trickling down
