Key Off-Season Dates
This is a comprehensive list including dates for draft combines, list lodgements, delisted free agency windows and return to train dates. I had to collate these from three different club websites because the AFL is lazy af and doesn't have it on their website, so thought it might be helpful to share:

FAQs & Resources Thread

It has an index at the top with threadmarks so it's easy to find what you're looking for – or easier than scrolling through 250 pages of AFL Rules, Regulations and CBA pdfs anyway.

These sorts of questions are all answered along with a bunch of other resources made by posters from across BigFooty (feel free to add to it!):

Bobby has a young partner from WA who has a bub on the way, his best mate just left the club.

At his best he’s a good player but he does still fade in and out of games.

I do think his tackle chase development has been greatly improved.

If he left we would really need to have a good look at Rachele as a like for like replacement.

I can get the logic, but if Bobby can keep up his development in a couple of years he'd be a reason people would come and see the Giants. :(

Yep! Bobby could be coming in to his prime and Lobb is 28… I know who I would rather.

Yep, both McCarthy and Lobb going to Freo on more coin sold as ''homesick'' for WA.

Now, Lobb hasn't been particularly successful for Freo - he's neither a full-forward nor a ruck, just somewhat capable but not great at both - and appears to have been told a few home truths in his exit meeting, so Young's decided to shop him around and found little interest. He's 28, not wholly successful, & Young is looking to extend his payday for another couple of years. So, yeah, it seems a push from the manager rather than Freo - so Freo are going to take the view that GWS is pushing this. A bit of deceptive salesmanship from Young.

At 28 and less successful in any season than Finlayson, and more injury-prone, he should cost less than ToJ, and certainly not cost a young kid such as Bobby.

will be 29 too before he kicks a ball in anger for next season.
Comes in cheap as chips or really not interested.

100% agree. Late third rounder and on $400k for 3 years (takes him to 32) is the max I would offer him. For starters I don’t see him in our best 22. If Preuss is fit plus 1 of Flynn and Briggs there is no room for Lobb.

Amazing isn't it how these players bleat to get back home for support networks etc and as soon as things start going bad career wise they are suddenly happy to go anywhere!

The best thing to come out of this Lobb situation won't even be that we get Lobb, as I think we might be forced to pay overs if we really want him

It's the validation that we're doing something right as a club. This isn't the first time we've heard about GWS being a family club and the tight knit community we have within the club. And who better to validate that for us than from past insiders, and better yet an insider who has left and would be willing to come back for less than what they're on currently.

Indeed .... TFG said in an interview earlier this year that many ex players regret leaving the club

Thought bubbles eh. ******* trade week 🤦‍♂️

Would defintely do that we're taking on no risk, moving back to 5 allows us to take a player that we might've taken at 2 anyway (Gibcus or Andrews) while also adding a strong forward option in his prime ready to contribute at a high level. But of course it's hard to see Hawthorn ever agreeing to that deal lol.

Would not be the worst trade for us. Given:
- Callaghans comments earlier in this thread about a preference for Bulldogs point to him being a potential flight risk
- we will be without Tobes for first 5 rounds. Gunston could provide scoring cover at no cost to us.
- Gibcus could be our draft target anyway. If we were guaranteed to get him with Pick 5, that could work.

Hawks would definitely not agree.
