Also John Greenslade has signed up (from Sturt player).

Rumour that there apparently may be another one or two ex-Blues coming across from the Hills league, to join Zane and John.

Only other ex-Sturt guys I can think of playing there are Jaensch, Riley, Osborn and Parker-Boers (the latter who may have played a season with our Magpie reserves - when we were actually allowed to have such a side by our "generous" SANFL overlords).

The first three would be on decent coin, and hence likely to stay put one would think?

Not sure if Hoff has finished, after his one year stint with the Maggies? Wanted to play with his two bro's (although Matthew was injured most of the year), and may have now gone back to devote time to his food business and various charity activities.

What the hell is wrong with us, a quality player who is a Port boy wants to return and we knock it back, we really are going nowhere.
Piss Cameron Sutcliffe off and give Sammy Gray the captaincy absolute no brainer.

Such an uneducated post. I'm a fan of Sam Gray, but have never seen him as captaincy material. Whereas Cam Sutcliffe has served us admirably over the past few years by playing whatever role the club wished for him.

Strong disagree. Sutcliffe is barely a good SANFL player. The fact that we've indulged him at our club for so long is baffling.

Uneducated post, are you taking the piss.

That's a pity!
But a classy, heartfelt response by Ben nonetheless.

Always liked him as a player. Versatile and honest guy, who could fill multiple KPP roles, and help out in the ruck when needed.

Not good enough to make it at elite level, but held his own at State league games, and always had the athleticism and skill to have been a long term SANFL footballer.

A bit hampered by the fact that we had a predisposition towards playing heaps of "smalls" in our Magpies teams, and thus missed a lot of games for the sake of "team balance".

Good luck in the future, mate.

We must have a fantastic culture, at least at sanfl level, for so many of these guys to sign on for next year, plus guys like Corcoran, Strange and Appleton to sign year after year, they obviously love the club. Couldn't be happier honestly

Apparently Jace Bode is busy with work commitments and has left Port and Payneham?
