Let hope it's different internally otherwise definitely sign of Hinkley who is a good player manager but shit senior coach and we all know what happened there......Watching the Nicks presser is concerning. The guy just looked like a bloke who had given his best shot and still come up short. He looked and sounded beaten.
He struggled to answer the questions and simply waffled ongoing "motherhood" statements. I'm not suggesting he was being evasive or deflective. He just didn't have the answers. And like a bloke who doesn't have the clarity of the problem, he provided a very unconvincing press conference which will have done nothing positive for the team, the fans or his future. This was the concern for me as I've been one who was patient and understanding of the need for time in a rebuild.
But I've moved significantly now having seen and listened tonight.
I was hoping they would go broke during Covid... sadly it has just made them mote money hungry and corrupt. The AFL is corrupt in every possible way.
Hope the AFL gets sued for the concussion issue and goes belly up.

I haven’t seen the presser, but as an outsider (well one who does like the AFC and wants it to succeed) I think the time has probably come now. He took the job in trying circumstances, but I think performed admirably during the initial period, clearly with a focus of bringing the club together. The environment is obviously a lot better than it was, evidence by the amount of young players committing to the club etc and whilst there has been some growth, it’s now Year 4 and after such a promising preseason, to be as patchy as you have been in the first fortnight is a major worry.
Yes, he has been hamstrung by the list, lack of depth in the midfield etc but he has also been given a significant amount more support (in terms of quality personnel) than his predecessors. The lack of development of some players, selection, lack of development of gamestyle is showing.
He put the hard yards in, but unfortunately nows time of results… There would be a lot of applicants out there who would love to get their hands on Adelaide’s list so to speak. I think it might be time for someone else…
For all of those watching North beat Freo, does anyone still want to argue that coaches don't make a difference?
I'm so sick of the excuse of the list being used to give Nicks a free pass, North already look better than us after only two weeks under Clarko.
You might be one of the last people still clinging to the Nicks bandwagon
I think he has gotten off lightly for 2020. When the Covid break happened it was very obvious that some teams maintained their fitness standards and some teams did not. Adelaide were the latter, arguably the worst. Crows were a kick after the siren away from winning in round 1, then the worst team in the league after the Covid break. That's on him having control of the team.
, it may be time for someone else with a bit more tactical nous, a fresh approach with a game plan suitable to the list you have and with the development/man management skills. Easier said than done, of course. The AFL is corrupt in every possible way.

We could certainly have had both Rankine and Phillipou. There were multiple scenarios. We chose not to.
The premiums will go through the roof.It will not cost them a cent because they weren't being negligent about concussion, not a lot was known back then. They have professional indemnity insurance, will not even have to pay the legal fees and realistically the insurers may opt to settle before a court result if they think it will be cheaper in the long run.

That’s a bit ridiculous. I have my doubts that he can take us to the next level, but I also think he’s been very good at building strong relationships between players and an environment that they want to stay in, even though the wins aren’t there yet. That’s something even our more successful on field coaches weren’t great at.At this point I'd argue that anyone who claims Nicks can coach is being disingenuous and trolling
The first half changed my views significantly. We can’t be regressing like that in year 4 of the rebuild.Watching the Nicks presser is concerning. The guy just looked like a bloke who had given his best shot and still come up short. He looked and sounded beaten.

But this reads like an assistant coach resume - so the original claim you responded to is correctThat’s a bit ridiculous. Well yeah and that’s why I’m saying I don’t think he can carry us to the next step with this group. For a mod to say people are trolling if they like Nicks though seems pretty inappropriate. But this reads like an assistant coach resume - so the original claim you responded to is correct
Whateley, edmund etc no doubt..the same ones telling us not to appeal mcadam's banSurely Broad is just getting an automatic 3+ weeks? I’ve seen some media outlets talk up like he may only get 2-3

In the western stand watching my team getting beltedWhere were you when you heard the ‘WHUMP’ of all the Port Power clan being smacked down to earth yesterday?
How's Barrett here blatantly muddying the waters (basically lying) on whether or not the ball was out of play before the siren. We have eyes and ears, Damien. Even Tony Jones can see it. But Barrett - "gee it's really tough to know". With pressure from the rest of the panel, he concedes it was probably a free kick, with indignation.
Good boy, Damien. You know where your bread is buttered.
