Interesting that people have noted it’s been called Anzac Station. Which is wrong. It should be ANZAC Station. Pretty basic thing to get wrong.

You tell me. Do you think Labor politicians don’t have multiple properties? How fair is it for the shadow housing minister to own like 16 properties when most can't afford one?
None of them have anything comparable to SouthwickYou tell me. Do you think Labor politicians don’t have multiple properties?
Lily D'Ambrosio, Jaclyn Symes, Mary-Anne Thomas, Danny Pearson, and Steve Dimopoulos do.

You do know taxes pay for things like hospitals and roads right?Moving forward, what does fairer really mean? Waiting lists at public hospital getting longer. More pot holes. More taxes?

After the landing at Gallipoli, General Birdwood requested that the position held by the Australians
and New Zealanders on the peninsula be called 'Anzac' to distinguish it from the British position at
Helles. Permission was also sought to name the small bay, where the majority of the corps had come
ashore on 25 April 1915, ‘Anzac Cove'.
The letters now were upper and lower case, indicating that the original acronym had already found a
use beyond that of a military code word or corps designation. Since that time, ‘Anzac’ and ‘ANZAC’
have been used interchangeably.
The word ‘Anzac’ therefore has a unique place within Australian culture. To stop the misuse of the
word ‘Anzac’, a set of regulations was put in place to ensure this important word is treated with
respect and dignity. These regulations are the responsibility of the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs (the
Minister). The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) administers applications for permits to use the
word ‘Anzac’.
Is it ‘Anzac’ or ANZAC?
There is no rule or law that indicates how the word ‘Anzac’ should be capitalised. For example, DVA
only uses ‘ANZAC’ when referencing the Corps itself and uses ‘Anzac’ in all other circumstances; the
Australian War Memorial (AWM) generally uses ‘ANZAC’, given its focus on historical records and
memorabilia.
For most, ANZAC is correct when referring specifically to the corps. For general usage 'Anzac' is more commonly used.

Long story short, they'd have copped far more grief about butchering the name if they'd gone with the all-caps.
Thanks for this. I'll know what to do now when I refer to the station that the public wanted named Domain Station. For most, ANZAC is correct when referring specifically to the corps. For general usage 'Anzac' is more commonly used.

I rarely see commercial media or read the Sun but watching the cricket on 7 the other day and glancing at the front page of the Sun at the supermarket it truly is unbelievable how much they spruik for the Libs. The marketing arm of the Liberal Party.Wilson getting an armchair ride by the media at the moment which is to be expected given it appears getting around a female liberal leader might be the last hope libs have here. She seems to have held her own so far, interesting to see how she/ party goes when she announces a policy platform which i expect to be more centrist than 3AW, HS etc want, yet will give her the best chance of winning an election.
It's Liberal Maths. Cut taxes on rich people and businesses, drive down wages and no need for hospitals, everyone is at work or commuting to work by car, stuck in traffic.Back on topic then

It should be called "Kings Domain" or "Shrine of Remembrance" or "Botanic Gardens"Interesting that people have noted it’s been called Anzac Station. Which is wrong. It should be ANZAC Station. Pretty basic thing to get wrong.
Fair enough, my bad
Thanks for this. I'll know what to do now when I refer to the station that the public wanted named Domain Station.
Yeah unfortunately in this case they were dead wrong and now because of what they decided to call it there is no way they'll change it because the dipshits that misunderstand the point of ANZAC Day will create a massive stink. This was in the wake of Boaty McBoatface: the station names were never just automatically going to go to the most popular choice.
Domain was hardly the attempt at humour Boaty McBoatface was. This was in the wake of Boaty McBoatface: the station names were never just automatically going to go to the most popular choice.
I'm sure all on the left will be fine once the first thing is named after the oldest current living former Premier. They shoulda named the station after Dan Andrews to give cookers the shits and everyone else the giggles.
I propose that Southern Cross be renamed St Dan Andrews StationThey shoulda named the station after Dan Andrews to give cookers the shits and everyone else the giggles.
There would be a lot more money for hospitals and education if the state wasn't weighed down with interest payment on the large debt accrued during ALP state governance. It's Liberal Maths. Jeff's Shed is already named after him.I'm sure all on the left will be fine once the first thing is named after the oldest current living former Premier.
Brett Sutton Bridge has a ring to it.I propose that Southern Cross be renamed St Dan Andrews Station
The SRL should also officially named the Dan Andrews Line and the North East Link the Dan Andrews Expressway.
Does anyone have a name for the Westgate Tunnel?
Jeroen Weimar Tunnel?Brett Sutton Bridge has a ring to it.
