Worst part is that we're constantly chasing all day, spending all our petrol tickets just to break even. This takes it out of a team if it's consistent and it is for us. All 3 games we hit the front only to choke again. Definitely need a change of coach - esp midfield and some fresh personnel like Edwards into the team.

how many times did berry fumble the ball, it was close to every time he got near the ball. Just taking it cleaning on a couple of occasions would have helped the side.

Really don't know what to make of the team this year. Half the team is either underdone or out of form and we have seven best 22 players out injured. We've been awful in our three losses yet could easily have won all of them. WTF

For those expecting anything to change at selection:

"It's been a challenging month," Nicks said.

"We've had a few things just pop up, small niggles here and there with a number of guys, and that cohesion is really important. To play 23 guys consistently, the connection that builds there and the trust and the knowing where someone is going to be, we've been challenged in that space.

"Even tonight we had a couple going out late ... you sort of start to look at it and go 'Oh, not another one' but that’s part of what we're talking about with the depth of our squad, that we believe we have the depth there to compete and we still believe we do."

The bolded part above is why we have no selection integrity whatsoever, and continue to go back to the same dried up old well.

It’s why Jones has remarkably made it to 100 games, it’s why Murphy and McHenry were stalwarts before him, and also why the scourge that is ROB continues to torment us.

Good luck to you if you believe this coaching group are ever going to change, or be good enough to go all the way.

Edit: the very next paragraph is also mildly amusing, considering they refuse to give any opportunities to our youngsters getting it done at the lower level.

The comment about playing the same 23 every week- that’s what he really believes. We’e seen it at selection for years.

The comment about depth - that’s a well-worn footy cliche, he said it because he heard everyone else say it. But it’s not true. He doesn’t value depth, he doesn’t expose or develop our depth or prepare for inevitable injuries. Again, look at selection.

We had luck on our side last year. Won a lot of tight games, and had few injuries. Amazing what a few injuries to key players and other teams at nearly full strength does. TT looks like he's restricted too atm, just can't get any space on his opponents.

Now you are being silly as you don’t understand he is a depth player.
Being a ‘depth player’ doesn’t in any way negate my view of his player level and ‘potential’. My enduring memory/image of him is, considering his footy experience, he mostly fails the contest option at critical times. That’s my observation. And he has a strong mate for failing critical plays by the name of OBrien.

Clearly you are not observant if you are bring critical of Borlase's game, as he curbed their most dangerous forward.

Keep doubling down if you must, but you wont get many supporting you on this board.

I didn’t unobserve his game . I made no mention of his performance yesterday. I responded to a post that said it was Good that he played a good game and I contributed that in my view he is a long term ordinary list occupier.

Not doubling down on anything. My view. I acknowledge your mileage on this board and will as we all should, continue to read posts as carefully as I can…

Once again you don’t understand the concept of having a cheap depth played who rarely lets us down.

Would it not be wise to acknowledge the game if you are going to can a bloke?
Otherwise it looks a bit ridiculous, at least have a go at the bloke after he fails.

O'Brien was a disaster. Was it fatigue?

Keays with a disaster kick, never looked set.

Borlase, typical Crows luck.

Doesn't matter, the damage is already done. It's a huge mountain to climb now.
Borlase had two team mates running just a couple of metres on his outside. A handpass guarantees that goal.

Just like the Peatling smother kick...not enough composure.

Very easy to say that from here, and nothing guarantees that goal.

The Pearce smother was massive, not sure any of that is Peatlings fault.

So he’s using minimal injuries as an excuse. What mindset is that telling to group? “Boys we are a couple down this week, it’s going to be tough”

No mention of his dumb negative gameplan.

This bloke is a ****ing unaccountable moron who we are wasting a rebuild on.

Joke of a club.

What was worse?

ROB's kick into the man or Jones' airswing?

At least Jones had the excuse of his mistake being in the chaos of general play.

ROB had time to think about what he was going to do before deciding to shit the bed.

Yep they think they have it won so they try to defend the lead by chipping it around at half back instead of half forward. It is dumb indeed. We are one turnover from disaster.

Now the season is done because of our stupidity. There is no coming back from this.
I don't think we did chip it around in the back half once we hit the lead. Nor did we go ultra defensive. A combination of things cost us. Thilthorpe kicking out of bounds when another day that one rolls through. Rankine missing his long-range shot. Keays miss. Borlase poster. And their last dribble goal that could well miss any other day.
I'm equally as pissed off as anyone here about selections--especially the non-selections of Edwards--and our slow starts, but to call time on the season after 4 games is silly.

Check the replay for both.

But oeatlings shot...

Cook was 5m clear 30m directly in front. Peatling only needed to be looking for a pass instead of the shot and it was obvious. The 40m checkside is seen...but a very low percentage kick.

Poor composure albeit in the final seconds.

If Peatling tried that pass the result would have been the same.

Pearce was a long way across the leg of James.

You're asking players to perform miracles.
