Ahh dam that's no good.

Was quite impressive after qtr time and was a great game except getting soaked waiting to get home lol. What was it like on telly? I'm gonna stay up and watch the replay in a few hours should be fun.
How'd you get into afl if you don't mind me asking? I'm guessing your an ex pat? :)

I didn't actually get to watch it. I had to listen to it via my iPhone as I had to take my friend to the Voice audition in Vegas today. But it was lovely being able to hear the second half and the interviews with the boys after the game. :) I will be watching the replay at work this week.

I'm not an ex-pat. I'm a Vegas native, actually. ;) I got into AFL when it looked like the NFL was going to be locked out during the 2011 season. ESPN3 had an AFL game on and I started watching it. It was Collingwood and Carlton; I don't like either team, but the game really pulled me in. So then I started watching more games, and it just kinda went from there.

Funnily enough, I do have some family who live in Perth. My cousin goes for West Coast and my aunt goes for Freo.

I have two questions... why do so many Aussies follow the NFL? And why is there a 420 character limit on posts?

Ahh the voice hey, I hear that show is pretty massive. I wouldn't recommend watching the first qtr but after that it was quite impressive :)

As for the NFL hmm I'm not quite sure, I think there is a fascination with all American sports, I quite like the basketball and I actually play baseball so pretty interesting in that also, but I honestly have no idea hey.

As for the character limit, I'm not sure, I just seams really weird, happened to me too, stupid thing.
How did your friend go at the audition? And why didn't you give it a go :) ?

No worries, I'm pretty hard to offend. :) My friend didn't get a call back, and I didn't go because I sound like a dying camel when I sing. :p How long have you been playing baseball for?

Haha thank god, but again I'm so sorry, see what happens when you assume lol. Ooh god I don't sound any better so your not alone. Been playing for about 10 years actually. Did you get around to watching a replay of the match? Also who are you going for this weekend, bombers suns haha?

Haven't watched the game yet. Saving it for tomorrow. :) As for this weekend, I'm going to lay out my Bombers and Suns guernseys, and whichever one my cat lays on is who I'm going for. More interesting than a coin flip I think. Did you support another team before the Suns?

Ahh good good, you'll enjoy it I hope. Haha sounds like a good plan, I guess either way you'll be a tad sad and a tad happy. I did, I followed sydney, was a member basically all my life and wasn't easy to switch especially since they were doing well. Have a soft spot and always will I guess. My fam still follows them :) what you got planned for the week, anything interesting?

Don't have anything interesting planned this week since my summer class has started. :( It's research methods in psychology, and I get the distinct impression that writing my annotated bibliography is going to eat up most of my time during the week. What will you be up to this week?

This is my last official class. :) I'm graduating in August. After that, my search for the ever elusive full time job will kick off in earnest. ;)

I can work pretty much anywhere. And I want to move out of the US for a bit and see how things are somewhere else in the world. What about you, have you been in Australia all your life?

That's so good :) ooh yeah where you thinking of going? I can pretty much go anywhere too, I think my first preference would be to stay here in aus, but I'm seriously considering Europe or the states as I'm pretty sure what I'm studying is big over there.

Not sure about Europe tho with the weather haha not a massive fan of the cold. And yeah I have been here all my life, I've actually never been overseas which is a bit sad, hopefully soon.

The US is okay, depending where you are. I want to go to Australia or Canada. But preferably Australia, because the climate wouldn't be too dissimilar to Vegas. Where would you like to go for your first overseas trip?

Where would you recommend? If you had to pick 4 places to visit. I was planning on going to singapore next month but had to change that plan, however long story short I'm planning on brazil, Mexico and the states this time next year (world cup in brazil :) ) but we will see. Where in aus or Canada would you go, anywhere in mind?
