I dont think your team is 2nd rate, I reckon theres too much load on your teams best players. The bright side is all your All players that are 1st round picks will be solid servants for the club like Gibbs, Murphy and Kreuzer. Had your team drafted well with your 2nd and 3rd round picks Carlton would be a better squad.

I think your been far too nice about Carlton and I doubt neither of those teams will win it considering Freo is going to keep both out of the top four.

Once you get Pavlich and Mcpharlin back I reckon you would definitely be a chance against any of the other teams in the top four. Got the defense/midfield to contend with anyone and your forward line will only become more potent with Pav in it. .

True. And I reckon that might be the reason why we might get close. In that Semi final last year vs the Crows, we let Walker tear us apart. McPharlin was injured. Had McPharlin played, Walker would not of kicked 5 goals that night.

Yeah seems a lot of Victorians forget about that when talking about Freo last year. Pav was also playing injured too from memory.
