Maybe one of the aspects of such an even year is you get teams who are up and down- and if a team is down -like port and the dogs and the lions tonight-it’s an ordinary game. Boring though.

Yep- ok- fair enough- I can see that there are problems and that it can get out of hand - I don’t really see those junior comps anymore so you understand that issue more than me perhaps. So it’s a perspective worth hearing even if we don’t see eye to eye on this.

And it wasn’t just the supporters whinging - I seem to recall the likes of hodge, mitchell, Lewis and their cronies regularly trying to get an elbow in Selwood’s head. Rarely did they miss the opportunity to do so.

Sorry I can’t agree. Kenny wasn’t aggro- he was smiling, joking and making a funny barb-it’s just not such a big deal. 12 week ban is laughable. Ginnivan was probably fine with it all. If anyone looked angry, it was Sicily.

Sicily could have just smiled and waved at Hinkley and turned away to clap Breust off. I’d have thought that’s what he’d have done if his focus was on sending his player off. I’m sorry for Breust- he was a good player and unlike the whingers from last night - he wasn’t one of the hawthorn thugs.

Crikey- Ginnivan, Hinkley, Sicily - might all have cause for a bit of regret but invoking workplace bullying and homophobia comparisons seems to be a stretch.

Yep- he’s a good coach and they had a good year and plenty will think they’ll go on with it next year and give the flag a shake etc, And maybe they will, but footy is rarely so simple. So we will see. Hinkley actually did a good job tonight given the players they had out.
