So Neale just got the Gary Ayres award (Finals MVP) and well as becoming a premiership captain.
I thought it’d be interesting to see what people think of some of the recent 2nd tier mids in the game and if Neale has gone up the rankings for anybody after this season.
Tough to pick but I think...
It's finally here.
The entree to trade week.
The intermission between AFLW games.
If you want to drop predictions below, I'll see with Tonga Bob & Van_Dyke if we can't organise something fancy.
Let's see....

...and Norm Smiths added to his tally over the following three seasons. Just the one Brownlow for Dusty, though. As of right now, Lachie Neale appears to have a genuine shot at achieving this over the next week to add to the two Brownlows he already has.
It's probably not a stretch to suggest...
Since Hawkins injury, he has put together a very impressive season. For a very tall forward, only 22, and with his first real run at seniors, this is mighty impressive.
He now has 24 goals from 14 games this season, averaging 1.6 goals a game, just behind Sam Darcy in averages, with 1.8 goals...
The Age reported he’s requesting a trade to South Australia.
Turns 29 before next season. Decent at a lot of things, elite at nothing.
Hasn’t kicked 20+ goals in any of the last 6 years as a half forward / mid hybrid.
Lots of tackles, okay inside work at clearances, not a bad kick, doesn’t...
3KZ Junior asked me this morning, who was the better player, Simon Black or Lachie Neale. When he sensed that I was completely stumped, he tried to qualify the question by asking who was most impactful. That didn’t help.
Having spent the best part of sixty years watching AFL / VFL football, I...
I couldn't see a thread for the Brownlow yet... it's been lost in all of the GF shuffle...
Can Lachie take it out tonight?
He's the predicted winner according to AFL.com.au's count.

Coming in hot.
Shannon Neale and JAmes Willis have extended their contracts with Geelong
Neale for 2 years thru end of 2025 and Willis one year until end of 2024.
Both great signings and great news for the club.
Now I need some alone time.
GO Catters
I usually don't care about this stuff, but this is twice now that Neale has gone completely limp in the contest, and smacked his head into the ground.
The whole idea was to stop player's hitting their heads, but of course, inevitably, players are now drawing dangerous tackle free kicks, by...
Dusty took the end of last year off and came back for the pre season in ripping nick. Is he a strong chance of winning the Brownlow?
Who do you think will go close?

Most contested possessions ever

Could've sworn we had a thread when this was first announced in October 2020 – with COVID and all the event only finally happened last night.

...of a fanbase that don't just show up when they think the teams going to win? Believing Freo under J-Lo is closer to a flag? Demoralised by Brisbane's shit finals record? Too many flogs at the Lions?
Regardless Neale wants to do the reverse Trent Croad.
If Brisbane had fans they'd be upset.

We now have a heavyweight battle in the most protected sook in the AFL.
Cotchin drops when he is touched, so too Neale.
Cotchin's sniper actions behind play are epic, so too Neale.
Cotchin is backed in social media by his mrs, so too Neale.
But Cotchin never signals to the AFL he wants a...
