Even with all those factors I don't think what we paid was that far off fair value - still overs, but we didn't get screwed/fleeced IMO. That said I 100% wish we'd used 26 and either kept 3 or 12 & 14 (+ Owies) instead.

A mistake for overpaying for sure - but once 14 slides to 16-18 as expected, how much or an overpayment was it? An early second round pick would have been more comfortable for me, so we weren't exactly fleeced as irritating as it is.

I thought Pyke came out recently and said Hewett should be good for day 1 preseason training. That's about as much info as we can expect at this point in the year. Whether it eventuates is another matter though
