In the early hours of this morning a mid 20's male, believed to be Adam Saad was seen doing wheelies down Sydney Road - shortly before losing control of his motorbike and taking out a pole outside of Stay Gold.
It is believed that he has injured his ankle and may have a delayed start to his...
Figured it was his time he got his own thread. I rate him highly but can see why the club would be tentative to match long term deals given we are currently being burned by the Hurley/Hooker deals atm.
OK, time for Carlton's club focus thread.
See below for a summary of Carlton's player contract situations, as well as information about experience, ages and heights.

The comments came in response to Adam Saad and Bachar Houli’s embrace in the middle of the MCG before the first bounce of the Richmond-Essendon clash on Friday night.

3aw saying that Bachar Houli , Adam Saad and Richmond & Essendon are going to hold an on ground response to Senator Annings parliamentary speech against immigrantion before tomorrow night match at 5he MCG
Second round pick, sucked in Gold Toast. I can't wait till we get our exciting spud. :thumbsu: What does it matter if he can't run in straight lines and kicks it like a lumpy couch cushion? He is quick and along with Conor McKenna injects some diversity into our defence.
2 down, 1 to go...
Apparently could be on the move according to the media, Essendon and Carlton the two leading the race for him.
What's he worth in a trade? Not sure he's worth as much as Hibberd who went for a late 20's pick essentially, maybe a pick in the 30's?

Bit like telling the security bloke at the G about the machette you have hidden (not)
What are peoples thought about his return after 18 months away from football. Can he have a meaningful career after a impressive first up season after being a late starter to AFL. Or will the forced lay off be to great a hurdle to overcome?
...a good draft to me.
Thoughts everyone?

Can anyone tell me the go is here? How can he get picked up if he can't be on a list till January 1st?
And is he likely to get picked up? AFL article says he has been training heavily with Northern Bullants captain.

Well guys, do we take a punt on Saad? Apparently we're interested in him. I'd say hes a reasonably low risk gamble.
Pros:
- 24 Years old ready made AFL footballer.
- Exceptional shot at goal.
- Has experience at the top flight.
- Small crumbing forward
- Elliot looks all but...

We need smallish quick forward, he knows where the goals are
Essendon doesn't have any pacey small forwards, other than the two old stagers held together by sticky tape. Saad would be a great pick up for the Dons. Is he still on the saints list or could Essendon just pick him up late in the draft?
Saad unwittingly takes a sports drink given to him by his sponsor without checking for himself. Under strict liability he gets a 18 months penalty. Nobody bats an eyelid.
EFC players allegedly and unwittingly (lets ignore the forms they all signed for a moment) take repeated injections of TB4...
