Man I love Dayne Zorko.
He's such a 'dislikable' guy, but every time I bristle at his shitty behaviour and carry-on, I have to remind myself that at least I actually feel something when watching AFL footy when he's around.
Reading his comments about Miller goosing him was just so refreshing...
...massive contract and underperformance.
Reading the Lion's board a few weeks ago I had similar feels. Lions supporters in mass bar 1 or 2 threw Zorko under the bus without hesitation based on nothing to - it was hard to watch them eat their own; even if the comment was said unprovoked there's...
...nor intelligent enough to discuss this so its over to the SRP board.
two points come out of this.
Are we no longer free to be d**heads? What Zorko said in my view was awful and reflects poorly on him. I wouodnt be sharing a drink with him after the game. But what is with all the media...
...involves a family member/members please don’t bring innocent parties into it and make up your own theories and forms of justice 🙄 Whatever Zorko said is HIS fault no one else‘s and he’s aware of this as most sensible people are.
If you can’t discuss it in a sensible and adult way, jog on...
According to Alan Richardson, Zorko verbally sledged a Petty family member and it crossed a line. You could see the Melbourne players were still upset with Zorko after the siren.
At least if you ever feel bad about your team, just be glad that Dayne Zorko isn't your captain.
I'm starting to wonder if Luke Hodge covered up for a lot of deficiencies of both Zorko and Fagan during our rise in 2018->19.
Feel like our backline was much more organised with him around and had a huge influence on Harris Andrews whose form is seemingly slowly dropping off as the time goes...
Great player. Watching a media vid the other day made me think about how much he's grown as a leader which lead me to wonder about his career as a whole. Late starter that had an immediate impact and has been consistently among our best players since debut. How will he be regarded when he hangs...

So Zorko elbows Adams in the back of the head knocking him to the ground and escapes with a $2000 fine. Dylan Grimes copped a week as the explanation was that a raised elbow was classified as an intentional action. Given Adams stayed down for a while after the hit then it should have been...
Have heard a couple of references to the Zorko/Miller feud initially stemming from an off-field incident where "Zorko was the agitator after the siren went, but Zorko was the victim in the backstory".
Can anyone shed any light on the "backstory"?
BRISBANE Lions midfielder Dayne Zorko says the AFL’s secret trial match wasn’t “anything like Auskick.”
The Lions took part in a scratch match held over two 10-minute halves, with AFL officials watching on at the Gabba on Tuesday.
The AFL’s secret trials are being undertaken to help deal with...
In 2007, Dayne Zorko was overlooked in the AFL draft.
Five years later in 2012, he made his debut for the Brisbane Lions.
In 2017, ten years after his initial non-selection, he won his 3rd consecutive Merrett-Murray Medal and his first All-Australian selection. He played 21 games and kicked...
What's Rockliff's leadership like? It's Great he'll be our lifetime leader.
Do you need a Priority Pick. Naaaah, We'll be fine, ewe don't need one
****witttttt moron is the only way he can be described and to think people are promoting him as our next leader.
I am ****ing angry.
Bit of a left field one. Hall looks set to break out as one of the premier midfielders in the comp this year, and we all know how damaging Zorko is when on song. Both mids can hit the score board and win plenty of ball, who would you pick in your side?
...against Garner was the biggest howler I've seen in footy for a long time.
There was no tackle....the ball was knocked out of Garner's hands by Zorko and was awarded the free kick. The umpire deemed it to be 'holding the ball'. If the umpire paid it 'dropping the ball' (even though that still...
Both are extremely damaging players in their own right and styles.
One is a rebounding AA standard backman with a laser leg and the other is a zippy goal kicking midfielder and a BnF winner
Who would you rather?
I thought Zorko's interview deserved its own thread.
I've never seen a player that angry, emotional and disappointed in an interview. Up on lions.com.au
I judge a player not just on his form.... But his love for our club and its members..... You and me.
Seeing Zorko clearly upset, and...

"A lot of guys are in the side to pressure – blokes aren't prepared to pressure," Zorko said.
"Blokes are in the side to win contested ball, they're not winning contested ball.
"It's a whole-team effort, it's a team game, and at the...
