What's the go with this guy? Out of contract and can't get a game at GWS. I always like him, reckon he'd be a good cheap pickup. Averaging 16 disposals, 7 marks and 3 goals a game in the VFL.
Is he likely to re-sign? What's he worth at the trade table? I'd say an early 3rd rounder at best...
Geelong has preselected Osca Riccardi for the Rookie draft of 2022.
He was not taken in the NAB AFL draft and thus has been added to our list.
And yes, Osca is the son of Cats great Peter Riccardi

Data from footywire. To check the draft order see the thread here.
Footywire says: "While we make every effort to keep up to date with player contracts, it is likely that our data may at times be out of date, incomplete or inaccurate. If you find any player contracts that need updating...
...will be getting a substantial pay rise you’d expect he would get around the average wage next of 400k so a nice jump that the giants will have to make space for If he stays
also interesting to see how they manage himmelberg, finlayson, hogan and Riccardi
Wouldn’t be surprised to see him...
...10 and 9 marks, 2 and 4 goals the last two weeks.
Is it impossible to win the rising star for this boy? I was baffled Starc got the nomination last week. Does Riccardi not meet the criteria or something?
Anyway, just a nod of acknowledge for this young kid, I'm so seriously impressed 👌👌👌👌
The GIANTS have added more firepower to their forward line by selecting Jake Riccardi with pick 51 of the 2019 NAB AFL Draft.
The GIANTS traded up to secure the 195cm 20-year-old, who had a stunning year in the VFL in 2019, kicking 38 goals in 20 games for Werribee.
They traded a future third...
...would've had a hell of a time as the super-sub if the rule was around in the 90s. A mid/forward impact player, two flags, was a big part of the dominant team of 2000.
Riccardi more or less a traditional pacy wingman, consistent till the end. Nice guy, deserved some success.
Who's your pick?
The end to the most remarkable 15 minutes of footy I have ever seen.
Geelong were 38 points up with 12 minutes left, only to trail with 26 seconds remaining.

Does anyone know where I can find footage of this moment? For the life of me I can't remember what year it was but it was at Docklands, after the siren, Ricco had to score a goal to win, and he did!
I was just thinking the other day that with the great three years the Club has had its a shame that Peter Riccardi just missed out on them (retiring in 2006). He was always one of my favourite players and played a huge role throughout his career. He missed out on a Premiership in 92, 94, and...
Gee it would've been great for Ricco to hang around for another year, play a small role and have another shot at a flag! that's just me being sentimental though :o
The AFL All-Stars game is on this Wednesday, I don't know wheter or not it's on TV though. I'll have to check.
For Victoria we have Peter Riccardi, Brad Sholl and John Barnes playing.
For the Allies we have Ronnie Burns playing.
Not sure if anyone else is playing, only had a moment to see the...

Peter Riccardi Tribute Night
Say thanks to Peter for his years with THE CATS and welcome him to the next part of his football life.

...early to pay tribute to the Cats’ third longest serving player.
The Geelong Football Club will pay tribute to veteran footballer Peter Riccardi before the match at Skilled Stadium.
The great Cat will be honored and recognized for his 288 brilliant games with the Cats, prior to the...
What a sad end to a great career.
It saddens me that we are not going to get the chance to give one of the clubs greats the send-off that he deserves.
Thanks for the memories Ricco.
...Whenever he has the ball its jsut like poetry in motion, it always looks like he has much time even in heavy traffic.
My favourite Peter Riccardi moment is the after the siren goal to beat Carlton. I wonder if it really was touched? I remember a commentator that day said "Of course it was...
Unfortunately, the night has been called off, due to a lack of numbers.
This will leave the club rightfully embarassed. A legend like Ricco will not have his night.
Why should they be embarassed?
.....because they scheduled the night in Melbourne after a Geelong home game. Surely, the...
How bout it? Prismall has now taken over his silky smoothness in the midfield, Geelong should now give Ricco a go at full forward for the rest of this season. A lot of veterans are doing it these days - Ricciuto, Hird, Buckley - Ricco should too. After his performance today, I really wish he...
Is there any chance Peter would play on next year in a bid to get to 300 games. I think he would be still a very important part of our team. He is still the most skillful midfielder at the club and I would like to see him play on next year. Even if it meant he played every second week, I still...
Altough still injured there has been talk about Riccardi finding it hard to get back in the side.
On Sat night he may well have been the spark we needed in the middle. We lost the game in the middle and the clearances. Riccardi has that ability to come off the bench and do something...
Will the cats nurse Riccardi through to 300 games or will he be rested every 3 or 4 weeks to freshen him up. Will the focus be on whats best for the team looking to finals or will the cats focus on getting him over the line. Wouldn't it be great to see him play 300 games. It has not happened for...
