I'm going to tell you a story and it isn't a whole lot of rosie as you may believe.
2015 draft 5 selctions all gone, at least McKay got us a good pick.
+1
2016 draft 4 selections a massive win with Simpkin & Larkey, plus Zurhaar ( rookie)

2017 draft 5 selections LDU & Xerri.
+2
2018...
Will Corr play the intra club next weekend?
Really the only ones missing from it should be wardlaw, George, Goater, CcJ, anyone else?
And jy as he will be playing the all stars game
You can justify most of those recruiting decisions individually, but they don't add up to a coherent or successful list management strategy. And none of them you could count as a big win, it's fair to expect a few out of 17.
Having said that, I actually think we have done a good job selecting...
Stephenson was a good choice. In his first year he averaged just under 20 touches and a goal a game. Then he did his hip ****ing around and was never the same.
Atu was steak knives in that deal and was never played in the position he was recruited. Meh but worth a shot at the time.
Corr was...
...Deck was damp so I could handle a few double grabs but doesnt excuse the kicking skills, far out...
Zac Fisher sat on the grass with GeorgeWardlaw at Arden St end during the match sim, he looked fine so not sure what the go was there. GW looked ordinary, a limp, yucky looking bruising on...
They're in a bit of trouble too, really. Lucky for them they are playing us.
B: Bramble, Jones, Busslinger
FF: Curtis Larkey Darling
HB: Dale, Lobb, Freijah
HF: Zurhaar Comben Simpkin
C: Williams, Liberatore, Richards
C: Powell LDU Scott
HF: Davidson Naughton, West
HB: Daniel Corr...
In fairness, two of those three years in which we actually won the fixture turned into horrific nightmares, and both times it was due to factors out of our control. I don't want to put the mozz on us but if we win this one, Arden St might turn into a sinkhole and suck GeorgeWardlaw into the abyss
...of that injury. Phillipou has been running a tonne this pre-season and developed a thigh bone stress fracture - makes sense. Perhaps GeorgeWardlaw was sprinting at training and tore his hammy - sprinting makes. Nick Daicos has overused his Plantar Fascia so it became sore - again, makes...
...after the incident, after he was caught by a couple of the coaches, he denied he knew anything about it and had never even heard of GeorgeWardlaw, well, on hearing that, he was escorted back to the ground and was held by staff until police arrived.
Under intense interrogation where he was...
Started very strong with English but lost your way badly quickly
Semi agree with Parish, King would be good if he could get on the park. And noone rates McCartin to begin with
It is a devastating blow for George and question marks on his durability will be there for the foreseeable future.
I agree with some posts above that are downplaying the significance to the short term success of the side, however the long term success is heavily dependant on Wardlaw becoming...
Parker locked and loaded now. Was considering him before the news, but this almost makes him a must-have. Sucks about George, poor kid can't get a clean run. His time will come, gun.
Wowsers. You got some good players in there. Are you saying they're just overrated or you don't rate them at all?
I would say english, Lewis, Rankine, butters, Rowell are atleast above average players and will have/have had long careers. The rest I can see an argument for.
