You make valid points!
I think though that cluelessness is at the foundation of it all.
Eg the midfield talk and training in preseason.
Nicks sinply hadn't thought it through. It seemed like a good idea. It seemed like the right thing to do.
What does it mean for our structure though? Who...
...a great chat.
Rounds 13 - 23 - Rachele gets less CBA's for the rest of the season than Defender Max, Ben Keays, Dan Curtin, Hugh Bond, ZacTaylor in addition to the obvious midfield team of Crouch, Soligo, Dawson, Rankine, Berry and Laird.
Round 23 - Rachele talks crap about Port...
I mean even from the list of players they've listed, Soligo Curtin & Max M have star upside. It's laughable that Soligo isnt listed in particular. Worrell is 23 as well so doesnt qualify. They know so much about our list that they refer to curtin as a defender so take it with a grain of salt I...
COACH: Tom Lynch (third season)
STAYING: VFL: Ben Bath, Louis Butler, Tom Cappellari, Connor Downie, Charlie Harrop, Ben Huggard, Coby James, Nick Newton, Alex Noblett, Bode Stevens, Lachlan Wynd; AFL: Jackson Archer, Miller Bergman, Callum Coleman-Jones, Charlie Comben, Aidan Corr, Paul...
Thank you so much for all the updates and final report on a work day. Makes it more real for us interstaters.
Really pleased by the Konstanty and Ford reports. Feel like there is room for Konstanty, Ford and RHJ.
Konstanty pre trade vids looked everything we needed, hope that's what we get.
Keen to know more about BGZ from you both.....he appears to have put on some size, how was he moving.
My thoughts on today.
Was on the ground but didn't play: BGeorge, WDawson, CCJ, Corr.
Did not see: Zurhaar, Darling.
Injured: Wardlaw :-( (early on, I didn't see it).
Will Phillips - was everywhere in the first quarter, and tapered off a bit after that but still stayed involved throughout...
Just some positional type stuff mate.
Did JD do any relief rucking? I think this will determine whether Brynn gets a run early.
Would you say Colby played more wing or half back? Who would be next in line after Scott for the other wing position?
My thoughts on today:
Tom Powell: stand out mid for the day. Clean, fast, and got plenty of it. Will take the next step this year.
Will Phillips: see Tom Powell. Very close second. Surprisingly good, clean, and competitive. He is a clearance mid. He is not a tagger. Really had the hunger...
You have spots for four small to mid forwards.
Alex Neal Bullen
Josh Rachele
Ben Keays
Izak Rankine
Dan Curtin
Luke Pedlar
Chayce Jones
Brayden Cook
ZacTaylor
Charlie Edwards
Billy Dowling
At least half of them I'd have before Murphy and maybe more.
I think we’ll improve significantly this year, to the tune of about 4 goals a game. Not sure how that would come in terms of more goals for and less goals against, but if it’s split evenly it would be:
23 games x 4 goals x 6 pts pg = 552 / 2 = 276 up / down
2024 For + 276 = 1,895
2024 Against...
Wow can't believe you posted something like this because a few weeks ago I had a similar thought. So similar infact that I wrote down the following list in the Notes app on my phone back in early December (wasn't going to post it when I tabled it up, but now I've got a use for it thanks to your...
Not even sure I'll post this but I'll do some research and see if it's got legs.
I'm having a look at scoring and a moneyball approach to our rise up the ladder in '25.
A separate post could look at lowering our Points Against to under 2000.
But looking at Points Scored we sat in the bottom...
I think Brisbane/GCS would be seriously strong. Just off the top of my head
Starcevic - Collins - M.Andrew
Rioli - H.Andrews - Coleman
McCluggage - Neale - Anderson
Rayner - Hipwood - Bailey
Cameron - King - Lohmann
Witts - Rowell - W.Ashcroft
Dunkley - Zorko - Flanders - Ah Chee
Probably...
So so far we have
Sydney/GWS
B: Dane Rampe, Sam Taylor, Connor Idun
HB: Nick Blakey, Tom McCartin, Lachie Whitfield
C: Josh Kelly, Chad Warner, Errol Gulden
HF: Stephen Coniglio, Logan McDonald, Finn Callaghan
F: Tom Papley, Jesse Hogan, Toby Greene
Foll: Brodie Grundy, Tom Green, Isaac Heeney...
Our projected best 22, from https://www.afl.com.au/news/1260580/your-clubs-best-22-in-2025-whos-in-whos-out-whos-new
It’s a North Melbourne team stacked with new faces. Luke Parker and Jack Darling will add experience, while Caleb Daniel can play in a variety of roles. All three will instantly...
...games) goes our way and we are division champions.
What ifs are a futile endeavor - your record shows how good or bad you are, and the Bengals are NOT a playoff team, and wont be until they replace ZacTaylor, fix their defense and open the wallet and pay Ja'Marr, Tee and a top line running...
