Great write up Newmo.
I got to watch the game as well and couldn’t agree more with your observations of TomBarrass. He completely nullified the high ball threat and immediately looks like the foundation of that defensive unit.
Watching down on the fence we could hear the intensity right...
...has the physical attributes to make it, lets hope he can put it all all together.

Planning to edit this just before the season starts to make it worse
Barrass left for money, nothing else.
Any club Reid would end up at in Melbourne is getting flogged 98% of the time.
Melbourne's an even bigger fishbowl, hence people suggesting JUH should leave
Harley hasn't been in the WA media since last season ended
Harley's hometown is closer to NSW than...
...go to a competitive club that does not get flogged 98% of the time, since he has been there.
Maybe wanting to come home.
Maybe just like TomBarrass, he wants the chance to play in a Premiership.
Get out of the fishbowl that is Perth.
Not have to put up with the absolute tripe that the WCE...
Hi All,
The usual place to ask for your Fantasy and Supercoach questions. Being a rebuilding side there should be some opportunities for youngsters / potential cash cows. Some notes for the season ahead on players:
Elliot Yeo - Put a line through him for a bit with his ankle and knee issue...
Shame we can't read the entire article (understandable) but the Hutchinson/Barnett news is absolute music to my ears.
Having those two come on, especially in those roles...Exactly what we need.
...has been retooled as a key defender this pre-season. And the new role looks to have potential. Barnett stood up in some big moments down back and notably spoiled the footy away from a leading Jake Waterman. The more options down back the better for the Eagles after the departure of TomBarrass.
Incredible the huge transition such a combined Rich/Haw team would look like in just four or five years.
In 2020 there might've only been a handful of Hawks to make that 22. Sicily over McIntosh, Mitchell over Pickett, Breust over Castagna and probably Gunston over Graham.
13 of those Hawks in...
Really like the Nank pick goes a little bit under the radar but can certainly hold his own against the top tier rucks
Meek might leapfrog him this season but if we are picking the sides today Nank gets the chocolates
Brisbane - Harris Andrews
Collingwood - Moore + Murphy... Not sure why either is a question mark. Don't like them but were very good in 2023.
Geelong - Sam DeKoning was absolutely one of the best KPDs in the league in 2022. Regressed since then but he was phenomenal in 2022.
Melbourne - May +...
...and neither was Vlaustin. Astbury wasn't ever a dominant sort, and Balta was very young.
Richmond: Same deal, minus Balta.
West Coast: TomBarrass is a quality player, but not a dominant one. McGovern wasn't and isn't an incredible one on one defender, and isn't KPP sized.
Richmond: Alex...
