I think we’ll improve significantly this year, to the tune of about 4 goals a game. Not sure how that would come in terms of more goals for and less goals against, but if it’s split evenly it would be:
23 games x 4 goals x 6 pts pg = 552 / 2 = 276 up / down
2024 For + 276 = 1,895
2024 Against...
Wow can't believe you posted something like this because a few weeks ago I had a similar thought. So similar infact that I wrote down the following list in the Notes app on my phone back in early December (wasn't going to post it when I tabled it up, but now I've got a use for it thanks to your...
Not even sure I'll post this but I'll do some research and see if it's got legs.
I'm having a look at scoring and a moneyball approach to our rise up the ladder in '25.
A separate post could look at lowering our Points Against to under 2000.
But looking at Points Scored we sat in the bottom...

Back by popular demand (well one person a month ago) here is the annual thread to discuss which clubs are in the most trouble from an age profile perspective, not just which clubs are the oldest, but also which clubs seemingly have the least youth coming through to replace those older players...
Miers has led the league in GAs for the past 5 or so years hasn’t he?
*edit: Miers (2024) is #14 league wide. CZ not in top 100. Interestingly Lazzaro and Coleman-Jones averaged more goal assists.
Cameron regularly turns a game and probably has averaged 30% more goals over the last 3-4...
Paul Curtis had the fifth highest number of tackles inside 50 in the comp last year.
Zurhaar was equal 19 for total tackles inside 50, sharing the rank with the likes of Charlie Cameron, Gryan Miers and Jack Darling.

Good list. Well done.
p.s. I havn't gone through it but I can see at quick glance you're missing Aiden Riddle and Malakai Chamption from the draft and Joel Hamling at Sydney.
Last draft was pretty weak for WA talent. SA had more players going than WA did.
SA: Draper 5, Bowman 26, Nicholls 34, Clarke 39, Camporeale 43, Polkinghorne 44, West 50, Moiler 52, Dodson 53, Camporeale 54, Welsh 59. Total = 11.

Rubbish.
First of all Ablett was 185 and Dunstall 188
But Oscar Allen, Jake Waterman , Mihocek , McStay , Curnow , Georgiades, J Cameron , T Walker, Fogarty, Gunston , L McDonald , Zurhaar, J Amiss, Treacy , J Hogan etc all say hello
You can have your over rated Peter Wrights and Max Kings
Not a fan of Moraes for our style of gameplay we need players who apply pressure and he is the exact opposite of that. Gross over Oliver, Davis and Clarke is yuck.

A good discussion is when we need to add quality experiences players to mix with our gun kids. Dunkley and Daniher came whilst they were finals teams. 2014 - 15th, 2015 - 17th, 2016 - 17th, 2017- 18th (then traded for Cameron), 2018 - 15th (then traded for Neale). 2019 - 2nd.

Welcome to the most wide-open race to be the AFL’s No.1 draft pick since the Brisbane Lions made Cam Rayner the dux of the 2017 class seven years ago. Five players have a case to be the first name called out, although Richmond – who will make that decision – appear to be zeroing in on two...
