How do they figure Mitchell is deserving of another contract extension? He is just over one month into the contract he signed just over three months ago. Yet better players who have shown more to date, like Wicks & Sheldrick, are dependent on their output this year. Very weird.
As for Lloyd...
...Robbie Fox and Lewis Melican unsigned beyond this year.
Biggest contract priorities: Beyond Warner, where the likes of Sam Wicks and AngusSheldrick land under Dean Cox beyond 2025 could be dictated on their senior output this season. Caleb Mitchell is highly touted internally at Swanland...

Obviously some far too young to judge, but there's one hit there (Blakey) and one should be pretty good one...
You don't know what you're missing Jewelsbon - but you should find out!
And here's my random question:
Was it a mistake for AngusSheldrick to trade #29 for #12?

I'm thinking about AngusSheldrick.
As apparently many are :p
When I think of all the fringe players hoping to get a game or break into the best 22 this year - Sheldrick, Campbell, Dattoli, Warner Jr., Bice, Paton, Mitchell, Fox etc etc - the one I think has the strongest chance of doing so is...
Gus is not a silver bullet but he, along with Mills, is the extra toughness that our midfield needs to help out Rowbottom and shift to that much more contested style that we all seem to think prospers in finals.
I can see McKirdy included him in the track watch this week:
AngusSheldrick
While all the talk has been about Chad Warner, Sheldrick is another WA product that will be looking for a big 2025. Had an injury-affected season in 2024 and looks to have bulked up and got his body right...
...get under his skin. While it was all in good nature and never crossed a line, it’s clear the Swans’ first draft pick has already made a strong impression in just a few weeks."

Id add an extra future pick if necessary, McVees value will be decided by what roles he plays in 2025. If he sticks to being a small defender and doesnt get any midfield time the Dees might have to accept our 2nd rounder if we finish bottom 4 areas.
If Oliver and Petracca stay fit and adding...
geez almost had the same, 7 of.
O'Brien: very good ruck but probably only got 2 seasons after next.
Starcevich: good player but paying overs for player we have plenty of/prefer McVee
Zakostelsky: cheap rookie KDEF to develop if can't get a game.
Reid: too injury prone.
Farrell: RFA really good...
