Foxsports analysis of AFL club lists. Callaghan, Toby B and X are our priorities
GWS GIANTS
State of play: Despite losing a quartet of established players last season to rival clubs, the Giants remain adamant that they have the list to continue to challenge for silverware. Mindful of not...
Paraphrasing highlights from the article (due to rules on limited copy of content):
teams were evenly split for talent, 2 x 20 minute halves
4 main Giants – Stephen Coniglio, Kieren Briggs, Toby Bedford and Finn Callaghan – weren’t involved in the match as they carefully managed their...
...has continued to be an ever-reliable outside runner.
Toby Bedford has been a solid inclusion since departing from Melbourne, and Xavier O'Halloran is a valuable commodity on the wing, with GWS unwilling to trade the 24-year-old before the end of his contract.
Kieren Briggs established...
Goes without saying but only 3-4 to be concerned about in that group: Finn, Leek, Toby and Toby … can’t see much demand for anyone else but X and maybe brown

Xavier O'Halloran's failed attempt to get to the Western Bulldogs will likely rear its head again at the end of the year, unless the Giants show their keenness...

How can you rate a trade period 8/10 with the picks we ended up with in what is widely regarded as one of the best drafts in recent times?
What club has ever pulled off this many picks in the top 24 in history when we’ve had no priority picks and no AFL hand outs.
Richmond will be unrecognisable from the club that won its 2020 premiership when round 1 rolls around against Carlton.
Gone will be the coach, the captain, the Norm Smith Medal-winning champion, the three-time Coleman Medallist, the chief executive, the president, the recruiter who built the...
...under a fair system. Pick 16 was Ned McHenry, then followed by Sam Sturt, Xavier Duursma, Liam Stocker, Collier-Dawkins, Ely Smith, Xavier O'Halloran and Jez Mclennan. So most likely, a spud is picked up there.
Out: Darcy Moore, Quaynor, Daicos
In: Cockatoo, Liam Stocker, Sam Darcy.

How do you land on a C+ when we got the maximum return for all players and the best draft hand ever? Norf gets a B+ by doing nothing but inexplicably topping up with a bunch of mature players past their used by.
We have graded every club’s performance – and ranked them from one to 18 – through the free agency and trade period to find the real winners and losers.
That process is hardly straightforward, given the different spots the sides occupy in the premiership race and just how much things can change...
Xavier O'Halloran staying with GWS.
Probably for the best, they'll need players who aren't suspended for the start of the year.
.....provided he isn't suspended.
...North will give up 25 but want something back.
If the Dogs can swindle 25, it would go some way to unlocking Matt Kennedy and/or Xavier O'Halloran.
What the Dogs get for Macrae (Pick 32 maybe?) will need to satisfy Carlton for Kennedy.
No movement on Barrass to Hawks or Smith to Geelong...
this is how you solve this
future second to gws
ohalloran to dogs
daniel to us
how hard is this ffs
we get to keep 25
gws get a second rounder for academy talent next year
dogs get their guy
North Melbourne has put pick 25 on the table for Caleb Daniel – but only if it gets a pick from the Bulldogs in return.
As it stands, that isn’t happening and Daniel’s proposed move to Arden St is on the rocks.
Pick 25 will be needed if the Dogs are going to prise Xavier O’Halloran out of GWS.
Sounds like Bulldogs may be prioritising Xavier O’Halloran over Kennedy. Pick 25 (C Daniel trade) looks like it may head to GWS for Xavier.
What is left for Kennedy?
