...West Coast captain Oscar Allen – identified by Brisbane as a potential Joe Daniher replacement – and North Melbourne prime mover LukeDavies-Uniacke join Draper among the most fascinating cases in this year’s free agency sweepstakes.
Oscar Allen
It is rare that a club captain departs, but...

NORTH Melbourne has made a big play to retain star midfielder LukeDavies-Uniacke, with the Roos offering the free agent a seven-year deal.
Davies-Uniacke starts 2025 as one of the leading free agents in the competition but the Roos are pushing to secure his signature as rival clubs offer big...

Thank you so much for all the updates and final report on a work day. Makes it more real for us interstaters.
Really pleased by the Konstanty and Ford reports. Feel like there is room for Konstanty, Ford and RHJ.
Konstanty pre trade vids looked everything we needed, hope that's what we get.
Keen to know more about BGZ from you both.....he appears to have put on some size, how was he moving.
...The others missed easily. Did not spend much time down back today, probably because JD wasn’t playing, for reasons unknown.
LukeDavies-Uniacke – His kicking is still a concern. Seems to charge into i50 with it and then kick it to no-one. Did this more than once. I would hope he’d have sorted...
...integrate veteran ball-winner Luke Parker into their engine room rotation. Parker has seen plenty of centre-bounce looks with LukeDavies-Uniacke and George Wardlaw, in addition to patches playing deep forward, as expected. Sole skipper Jy Simpkin is another who will see plenty of...

“As we’ve come to expect with Luke, he demonstrated great leadership when he decided that it was time for him to...
If we start as disastrously as last year, he MIGHT consider leaving.
But we won't, and he'll stay, and become a very rich young man, who is also very good looking, can surf and play footy too, which seems really fair on the rest of us.
Been a lot of water go under the bridge with us and Luke...
I think we’ll improve significantly this year, to the tune of about 4 goals a game. Not sure how that would come in terms of more goals for and less goals against, but if it’s split evenly it would be:
23 games x 4 goals x 6 pts pg = 552 / 2 = 276 up / down
2024 For + 276 = 1,895
2024 Against...
Wow can't believe you posted something like this because a few weeks ago I had a similar thought. So similar infact that I wrote down the following list in the Notes app on my phone back in early December (wasn't going to post it when I tabled it up, but now I've got a use for it thanks to your...
Not even sure I'll post this but I'll do some research and see if it's got legs.
I'm having a look at scoring and a moneyball approach to our rise up the ladder in '25.
A separate post could look at lowering our Points Against to under 2000.
But looking at Points Scored we sat in the bottom...

...know this. Despite two high draft picks the Saints midfield is arguably still lacking so you’d expect premier on-ballers such as LukeDavies-Uniacke to be right at the top of St Kilda target list. Yes, we will find out whether the Saints’ strategy will pay off at the end of the 2025 campaign...
I think I need a strong clearance player to anchor my midfield before they all disappear so I'm going to take LukeDavies-Uniacke. Has genuine burst out of stoppage, doesn't mind a tackle, finds a decent amount of the ball and has a decent kick on him. If only we'd picked him in 2017.

That team is comically slow. But I spose that's a reflection on the club and its recruiting/development rather than the journo that wrote the team up. Doesn't help that Stephens' play invited a level of rage from the fanbase probably not seen (at least as far as on-field performance goes) in the...
