Being excited about recruiting Lewis means buying into him being at a standard that only hawks fan podcasts think he is (why are there so many of them?).
Not for me!
Just seeing the size of the man in Lewis again with his athletic and marking abilities warms my heart with joy. This guy when fit can seriously help take us to a premiership. If we get him fit and firing it goes a long way to getting a flag.

Below snippet taken from the Hawks website before they went to the US.
"Injured Hawthorn pair MitchLewis and James Blanck will travel to the United States next week to complete a rehabilitation block with internationally renowned reconditioning...
I love what the hawks are doing. Shows you what can happen with a well run club. Recruiting has been first class and the player development down there is on another level good.
We are headed in the right direction to but are coming from further back imo.
Hawthorn f...king shit me with their recruiting. It looks like they will start the season without Dear or MitchLewis two key tall forwards and they just happen to another athletic 203cm tall they grabbed in the MSD from Sandringham (Max Ramsden) lighting up the track...
For any of you track watchers how does Scaife look physically this preseason? I'd like to think that he has trimmed down a little which would likely improve his mobility. The kid could really be anything and those roosts from 60m are ridiculous.
Heard an unsubstantiated rumours that a certain Key Forward looked good today
*This was Scaife
Interesting MitchLewis is still in the states but Blanck is back
...arose, he would take it with both hands.
“I certainly feel ready,” he declared.
That occasion could come sooner than expected, with MitchLewis still recovering from an ACL tear and Calsher Dear facing a delayed start to the season with a back injury.
Scaife could get a chance to earn his...
I loled at Hinkley 😂
He's certainly not over rated by port fans...
For the Hawks Im tired of hearing about Mitchlewis.
For the Swans I'm starting to think Mills might actually be shit.

Well 2024 was a pretty fun year, unless you decided to watch the Dees play footy, but that's all behind us now. With summer only a month away from ending and Melbourne have the O Round bye, it's time to once again decide who in the squad makes up the Best 22 team. This'll mean that people will...

Is MitchLewis training yet?
Is he any chance for round one?
A fit Lewis allows Dear to be the sidekick and Chol to play resting ruck forward - and we win the flag
...Watson
40+ goals
Terrorising defenders
Josh Battle
Strong and reliable year at CHB
Consistently getting the job done and allowing the coaches to use Sicily in match winning roles
MitchLewis
Returns from injury in a very impactful manner.
30+ goals from a restricted late start to the season
...with who ever asked and where really receptive today, we did notice the documentary cameras where filming the boys coming off the ground and the players did know where the camera was :)
Highlights for me:
Wizards Mark
Seeing the 3 young lads (father sons)
MitchLewis getting k's in his legs.
I’m no physio, but does Lewis potentially seem ahead of schedule? Running and goal kicking this early feel like good signs but I’m sure the club will be extra cautious with him

How did Cody Anderson go was he playing forward again, I feel he could be this generation's Poppy while Watson is this generation's Cyril, in different ways.
