Is that group the best captains or just the best players/most premierships?
Being a great player has very little correlation to being a great captain, and a great captain can't just magically make their team win premierships.
Jedwab and Toma are the only ones we desperately want to keep. Bailey Scott is a loss, he's a good solid player.
Give it a rest dude. He's retired. It's not even remotely relevant, you just look pathetic.

I think your top 2 is spot on, but the rest is quite questionable. Tom Harley should be in the top 5 since 2001, incredible leader. Not sure why you put Johnathan Brown 8th on your list, Brisbane were abysmal during his tenure as captain. Matthew Primus should get a small shout out, his...
There has been a lot of discussion about the best players since the turn of the century over the off season, and many of us rate Leadership as a highly important attribute when ranking these players.
Which led me to thinking... Who have been the best playing leaders since the turn of the...

Richmond spearhead Tom Lynch "can't take a trick", placed into concussion protocols after a collision in the Tigers' match simulation on Friday.
The 32-year-old has played just eight games in the past two seasons, but has been training well this summer.

Is all I have so far... trying to find more, but happy I can't (if that makes sense).
Yes for sure. Making money and building international relationships is totally worse than destroying the captaincy, not playing SamHayes, trading Houston for nothing, and repeatedly extending a head coach to the least successful run in the entire history of the sport while under no pressure to...
‘Strong foundations’: new coach, CEO and signings for Sandringham
It’s been a thin few years for Sandringham in the VFL, but an influx of young players and two key appointments have the Zebras primed for the 2025 season. See the signings here.

just on some players being talked up in the media that i dont have on here, or dont rate as highly.
1. Matt LeRay - the media seems to think he is a top 30 chance, i have not loved what i have seen, will need to see more evidence, but so far he seems more a late draft prospect imo
2. Max King...

Hayes, Hannen, Davis and Hope are gone. Butler, Bath and Wynd are still there.
We had a list of 49 training with us pre Xmas and that's expected to be trimmed to 30 soon.
Unsure?: Louis Butler, Ben Davis, Hamish Murphy, Ben Bath, Jaime Hope, Tom Cappelari, Lachlan Wynd, SamHayes, Mitch Hannan, Nick Hodgson
From that list I did last year it looks like Davis and Cappelari have been training with the AFL side from time to time. So you’d assume they are staying...
Jack Gunston completes our team...
I'm in need of another forward and the acquisition of another 30+ year old takes our tally to 13 veterans... This also allows us to receive government funding to house half of our team in a local retirement village...
ost of you are assessing your own team...
Current AFL listed Rucks and Forward/Rucks out of contract 2025 according to Footywire. Listing Toby Murray as a Forward/Ruck :)
Pretty slim pickings for a lead ruck to replace ROB.
You would expect Tom De Koning, Lloyd Meek and Dante Visentini would all be re-signed, and or Tom De Koning...
