...over Shaun McManus for wing (statistically was better and I felt in game was a better wing, better disposer of the ball at any rate), but BradHill yes was probably better than both during his time at Freo and I am pretty sure statistically smashes those other two.
McManus was a fan...
Great to get these in-depth looks.
Hope Caroll can have an effect, have a few mates who barrack for Carlton and rated him.
Left footers always seem to bring something special to a side.
I’ve seen that from Brad in games. He is often too offensively minded and expects us to win the stoppage, which can back fire if we don’t but gets him off the leash if we clear the ball. Surprised Lyon puts up with it.
Carroll is a left footer. I mentioned in my report that was totally from a poor setup positioning by BradHill. Stocker was yelling at Brad to man up as he had two forward of the stoppage, Hill looked at him and went to the stoppage, Dodson won the tap, can't remember who cleared it but Hill was...
Thanks for including BradHill, may not have been here long enough to ingratiate himself with the fans, but is clearly one of the best wings to have played for Freo ever.
...last year, but obviously it was ploy to get him to emotionally commit to the club and Melbourne. Rumours of wanting to return home have abated so he has settled, now he just needs to do the work. BradHill has been incredible in that sense, helping the interstate indigenous kids find their feet.

...- Bobby Hill
Fremantle - Shai Bolton, Alex Pearce, Michael Walters
Hawthorn - Jarman Impey
Melbourne - Kysaiah Pickett
St Kilda - BradHill
West Coast - Liam Ryan
The Indigenous All Stars team is absolutely stacked with small forwards. Not much height outside of Alex Pearce. They'll need to...
Have they? You need to look in your own backyard.
Lobb, Hogan,BradHill etc.Plus we haven't been gifted the early picks of the revolving door of players who wanted out of Freo.
Hopefully this year with some decent picks we get Warner and or some elite talent due to having some better picks.
Young guns will go past them soon.
Darcy Wilson is an absolute jet and already the best runner in the league.
Caleb Windsor has huge potential for the Dees.
Toby Travagalia already running at an elite level in his first pre season.
The fact that Ed Langdon and BradHill can fit in Both demons and saints best 22 says a lot.
And yes I liked both blokes as they are former dockers players. Both blokes would be in freos best 23
Brad aint coming back, he moved back to Vic for his misso and they have a family over there now.
Bobby might come back to WA, he was open to coming to back when the Bombers trade was (not) happening, both WA clubs weren't interested at the time.
They'd likely be interested at the right price...
Looking at the market theres only a handful of quality HFFs coming OOC in the next couple of years.
Zac Bailey (2026)
Kai Lohmann (Heard the Tigers are throwing enormous cash at him) (2025)
Bobby Hill (2025)

...Brisbane winning the flag last year - it was the club making many non-academy related recruitment decisions over an 8-10 year period.
Is BradHill in the same vacinity as Luke Jackson in terms of value to a team? I don't consider him to be. Does Jackson carry the same kind of risk as Hogan...

Yeah, but usually someone of decent quality leaves unexpectedly. We didn't see Shultz going and it got us a decent draft return, same with BradHill, Lachie Neale (which wasn't ideal) Griffin Logue, Adam Cerra and the list goes on. The last offseason is the first one in 4 or 5 years it hasn't...
