Not saying that team sheets are anywhere close to accurate; after all, we love naming TomPowell in key positions, but Daniel and McKercher on the half-back flanks will mean it's a procession for opposition players coming into our d50. We need a two way player on one of those flanks badly. It's...
Thanks for the detailed report. Much appreciated. Great to hear your comments on Richards. We really need him to be an effective forward & link player for us.
Gday guys, just joined bigfooty but it looks like the place to be to keep informed about the Power boys.
I've been searching everywhere for training reports or hints about what to expect from this season (look fantastic all year then get smashed in the prelim and walk home swearing I'll never go...
"will turn TomPowell into the game's next elite mid"
I'd prefer if articles like that weren't written. Puts too much pressure and expectation on the kid, makes him a target. He has a fair way to go to reach the levels of Bont or Cripps.
Yep what we have built through the draft the last 4-6 years inside and out side the top 10 picks has been great some really handy players by the look of things later in the drafts as well. Good call ferbs.
...(tho Ambrosius would be good as well.). Wil Dawson, Goad and Hardman are all good prospects who were picked outside the top five. So was TomPowell for that matter.
We've got plenty of talent outside the top five. (As well as some great talent from inside the top five as well.). It's just...
Stephenson was a good choice. In his first year he averaged just under 20 touches and a goal a game. Then he did his hip ****ing around and was never the same.
Atu was steak knives in that deal and was never played in the position he was recruited. Meh but worth a shot at the time.
Corr was...
When Doch, Cerra, Day, Oliver and Cogs are all cheaper than him, you'd have to say no. If it was for a forward spot, you'd probably just take a risk on Parker for an extra 40K more. No real upside and a lot of downside, IMO.
Do we fall for the Tommy Powell midfield hype again?…… very Maric vibes with the constant focusing on the role
Might be the main beneficiary of no Warlord…. I know he burnt us last year but you never know, article mentions that he’ll be a certain starter in the North mids...
Don't agree that you just use 1st round picks on needs. But if the talent level is close or depth in that position already, then sure positional needs/character/location/medical may be more decisive factors than just taking best talent.
You can take the best talent and trade some players on the...
...getting more ball out in the open was a nice to see, would have had more after making space and having people miss the kick to him ffs...
TomPowell, looks like a star out there but only playing North.
FOS, super encouraging, havent seen him live before - we have one there - a beauty...
Match Sim Notable Thoughts:
TomPowell: couldn’t be in a better position to take the next step this year. Has put on notable size and his tackling is becoming a bit of a feature. Most importantly, his vision and creativity by hand appear to be back to year 1 TP levels
FOS: Having only heard...

Thank you so much for all the updates and final report on a work day. Makes it more real for us interstaters.
Really pleased by the Konstanty and Ford reports. Feel like there is room for Konstanty, Ford and RHJ.
