Review Round 6, 2025 - Brisbane Lions vs. Collingwood

If we converted some of the chances in Q2 - our attitude would've been different in Q3. We were pretty competitive in Q2 and 19 points in arrears didn't reflect that. So when we came our angry in q3 and the idea of roughing up Daicos pushed us even further away from our game. Once they piled on...

Brisbane will be without Kai Lohmann again for this week. Good news for us as he seems like one of those players that can bob up and kick a few quick ones and provide a spark for the lions.

...will know, but his contribution is likely more than just stats (intangibles). Smith needs to be more match fit before being named. IN: Kai Lohmann OUT: Will McLachlan Move Bruce to sub, provided Kai is fit enough to play his usual half forward role. Otherwise you could ease him in as the...

Autopsy Great first half spoiled by beyond abysmal second half. Dogs lose 97-118 to Lions.

I don't think this is a very good analysis DW. The 94.5 average and the 131.2 average is a pretty significant difference, and only two teams had more than 9 players with less than 50 games experience playing - West Coast and Richmond. And that's before you factor in subbing out Harmes and Dolan...

By "Harris" I'm assuming you mean Andrews?

They have been more kissed on the dick with father sons and academy than anyone else. GC being the other with academies.

Lohmann didn't play - the other <50 player was Reville. I agree with your assessment that they have significant more young talent. Losing Harmes so early whilst they were able to sub on McLachlan and sub off Reville added to the experience gap though.

...really hurt us this time. Comparing the <50 gamers is probably more instructive. They have serious talent there in Jaspa Fletcher (45), Kai Lohmann (37), Will Ashcroft (35), Logan Morris (23) and Levi Ashcroft (4). Will McLachlan (1) makes up their six. Ours are promising but not nearly as...

Preview Round 5 - Gather Round, a Celebration of Football

I think/hope that is because they are being ultra conservative and trying to think of his long term health and career. Giving him a 2-3 month break guarantees no concussion for that length of time. I would prefer to have a slightly weaker team for the next couple of months than 1. have Starces...

Na afl.com.au article stated his medical tests all came back positive and cleared him to play again. Club are keeping him out for a further 6-8 weeks to rebuild his fitness as he’s had no physical exercise since being subbed out in round 1 as a requirement while undergoing the tests. Fages said...

List Mgmt. Brady Rawlings | Head of Football Talent (Recruitment, LM & TPP)

You used the word squad. So many things you type would be less open to criticism if you did basic stuff like make sure you type team not squad when you mean team not squad. Yeah fair enough. They had very similar seasons. Almost identical statistically. But Lohmann played four finals and...

...hypotheticals now? Okay... well, no. I disagree with your hypothetical. If they were picking a "proper side" based on the 2024 season, Kai Lohmann would be the first small/medium forward promoted from the squad into the team over Paul Curtis, seeing as Lohmann kicked more goals than him...
